RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Medevenx - 04-16-2011 I like them. However, Suggum looks more like a Rock-Dark type Pokemon too me, rather than Fighting. Also, Cottandy currently looks like a Basic Pokemon instead of a 1st Stage Pokemon. It almost feels like nobody will evolve Wrabon into Cottandy. Also, how can Cottandy still be Rock Type when he is already made out of cotton? If you plan to keep Cottandy and Suggum as evolutions for Wrabon, I suggest make Wrabon Normal type. If Cottandy is dismissed, Wrabon > Suggum has the potential to be the Snorlax of this generation. Just not sure about his stats if he were to be the Snorlax of this gen. RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Wes - 04-16-2011 Those are awesome, but I think the wrapper thing on Suggum's head is very out of place. And jawbreakers really aren't gummy (at least none that I've ever had). I think it looked better with arms made of the same stuff as his body. But I like the Rock/Ghost typing for Cottandy. Since sugar is made of tiny crystals, having them be rock type works in my opinion. Actually, I'm pretty sure I've had jawbreakers with gum in the middle a few times before RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Wes - 04-16-2011 Hmm, well I guess that would work then. but I just think he looks kind of funny with those thin, long, arms and legs on the broken body. It kind of looks like a chicken egg thing, especially with that wrapper on its head. RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Cshad - 04-16-2011 The candy Pokemon should evolve depending on the stone it holds Candy to Jawbreaker = Leveling up while holding the Hard Stone Candy to Cotton Candy = Leveling up while holding the Float Stone RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Chaoxys - 04-16-2011 Wait, on the jawbreaker pokemon, is the crack his eyes, or are those 3 dots above the mouth two eyes and a nose? I thought the dots were his eyes. RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Perseus - 04-16-2011 I think the cracks are it's eyes RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Garamonde - 04-16-2011 The dots look like eyes but I'm not sure if they are. And the crack is its mouth. EDIT: Wait, really? I can see the crack being eyes but it looks more like a mouth to me. Wes best explained the reason behind Cottandy's types. Couldn't get the right words myself. To explain the Fighting type of Suggum, when I saw some of the drafts it reminded me of most bosses in Super Mario 64, including Big Bob-omb, who throw you off the stage. I can imagine the same for Suggum, getting all brawly and throw you off the stage when you are weakened. Also, Jawbreaker... Punch to the jaw... need I say more? Oh, and every Jawbreaker I had in my life had a chewygum centre. RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Baegal - 04-16-2011 Despite what some say, I like the cottandy idea. It might need a little work in design, but it's pretty awesome. I would have one on my team. RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Solink - 04-16-2011 I like Wes' design of the cotton candy better. It looks more different than most pokémon. I also had some ideas for pokemon. I'll post them when I get the drawings that I left at school. RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Garamonde - 04-16-2011 I must be the only one who didn't think of Mallow until everyone mentioned it. I love Cottandy and its design as-is. Though you might end up altering it now... Also while I can see why Wes said Suggum looks chicken-y, it doesn't look like that to me at all, I love it. Especially the gum arms and legs. I can also agree about the wrapper hair-tie looking slightly off but I like it. What if Cottandy was separate and evolved into the four-legged version? But that might be too many candy species. RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Perseus - 04-16-2011 Well if they were seperate, they could be Pokemon that has one family in one game and the other one in the other game, like Solrock and Lunatone, Stunky and Glameow, Vullaby and Rufflett etc. RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Wes - 04-16-2011 What if we used both? Since Nick's cotton candy looks like a first stage and mine looks bigger, why not have it be peppermint -> Nick's Cotton Candy -> My cotton candy, and then have the peppermint be able to change into the jawbreaker instead (which would also have two forms). the one I made could be changed to be smaller and full of cracks with bits of gum showing, and then when it fully evolves it's gum breaks out to form arms and legs? it'd be like the way that the Wurmple line is set up. And now that it's 3 evolutions, it makes sense for the final ones to be very strong (huge base stat totals like Magmortar and Electivire and being the evoltuions to pokemon that would be strong enough to stand on their own) RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Garamonde - 04-16-2011 (04-16-2011, 03:38 PM)Wes Wrote: What if we used both? Absolutely brilliant. I was thinking that too actually. Everyone wins! |
