RE: Marvel vs Capcom 3!? OH SHI- - Saltonara - 04-07-2011 I liked the 1v1 and 2v2 events, though 1v1 was tremendously easy and short. Also I'm up for getting my ass kicked horribly. Holy balls I thought Bryan was joking about that "all MODOK" event. RE: Marvel vs Capcom 3!? RE: Marvel vs Capcom 3!? OH SHI- - Omegajak - 04-08-2011 Been in the lab past couple of days. Spidey, X-23, Zero Zero, Storm, X-23 Dante, Storm, Zero I really should start adding people to PSN. RE: Marvel vs Capcom 3!? OH SHI- - TomGuycott - 04-08-2011 I was kicking my friend's ass last night (which is rare since he's better), and all of a sudden he breezes through three of my half-health guys with his X-factored Hulk. Yeah, I tend to choke, but Hulk with X-factor is GNARLY strong. RE: Marvel vs Capcom 3!? OH SHI- - Alpha Six - 04-08-2011 Hulk with X-Factor will kill you with one combo. There is no other way to say it. Sentinel's X-Factor fucks people up, but not nearly as much as Hulk's. Still sticking with my Wesker/Jill/Iron Man combo, starting to learn better rushdown with IM so I can start using him more standalone-- as of right now he's an assist/mix-up character, but I want to be able to use him as assist/rushdown/mix-up. Repulsor Blast + Repulsor Spread > spamming Unibeam like a drooling moron. RE: Marvel vs Capcom 3!? OH SHI- - Rosencrantz - 04-08-2011 So Ammy/Trish/Arthur stopped working, and replacing Arthur with Joe and MODOK isn't helping much anymore. Hell, I have yet to beat the Arcade mode because this stopped working. I need some alternatives. Anyone wanna recommend me a team? RE: Marvel vs Capcom 3!? OH SHI- - Alpha Six - 04-08-2011 It really depends on your playstyle. Do you play more for rushdown, keepaway, or mix-ups/headgames? Are you defensive or offensive? I'm not an MvC3 pro or anything, but I have tried every character at least twice and can do at least decently with them. There are still a lot of characters with potential that I haven't fully tried out yet. I assume by your team selection that you're primarily keepaway, yes? RE: Marvel vs Capcom 3!? OH SHI- - Rosencrantz - 04-08-2011 Oh, I rushdown and I'm always on the offensive. If I switch to Arthur, then I start doing keepaway but Ammy and Trish are constant offense. RE: Marvel vs Capcom 3!? OH SHI- - Alpha Six - 04-08-2011 Trish is a really weird rushdown character, you'll require a lot of practicing with her to figure out her rushdown game. Her keepaway game is really easy to learn, especially with her traps. If you want solid rushdown, try X-23; she's the fastest character in the game, and she can use her Mirage Feint + Talon Attacks to really confuse the opponent. Wesker is also a good choice, since he has major damage output, average health, a fullscreen super and a counter super. I'd also look into characters like Spider-Man, Wolverine, and if you feel like putting in the learning effort, C. Viper can be a good choice. Also look into using Akuma (everybody is good with Akuma), and if you're a risk-taker, pick up Phoenix, since she is incredibly versatile as a rushdown, keepaway, and mix-up character. Although really, any character with a teleport would make a good rushdown character, with the exception of Dormammu, and they double as mix-up characters, since properly used teleports can confuse. With Ammy, do you take advantage of all of her weapons? Most Ammy players I see only use the Reflector, which at this point has become predictable. Also, be wary about consistently offensive rushdown, as it becomes very predictable and very punishable, very fast. Use strategic rushdown-- figure out your opponent's movements and then come up with ways to counter them. You want to reel them in first and learn their patterns so you can exploit holes in their offense/defense. And if someone is consistently on the defense, teleport characters (Wesker, Phoenix, Deadpool, Akuma, to an extent X-23, etc) are your biggest tool. RE: Marvel vs Capcom 3!? OH SHI- - Rosencrantz - 04-08-2011 I've begun to pick up on Ammy's other weapons. I wasn't aware you could change them up until a week ago when I looked into her combos. I think I'll try out X-23, I need a Marvel character in my team. And I've played Akuma once before, he was pretty fun. And yeah, being on the offense got me into very bad scenarios. I'll try to mix things up later and be less predictable. RE: Marvel vs Capcom 3!? OH SHI- - Cobalt Blue - 04-08-2011 sup nerds RE: Marvel vs Capcom 3!? OH SHI- - a babyass man - 04-09-2011 http://www.justin.tv/leveluplive/b/283150760? Skip to 40 minutes, Justin Wong plays a captain america/thor/modok team as a joke RE: Marvel vs Capcom 3!? OH SHI- - Saltonara - 04-11-2011 Is Trish a really easy to use character/overpowered in any way because I found out I actually like playing as her but I don't want to use "cheap" characters online. RE: Marvel vs Capcom 3!? OH SHI- - Alpha Six - 04-11-2011 Trish is neither of those. Really, no character is overpowered except maybe Deadpool. RE: Marvel vs Capcom 3!?
