I dont care about IV/EVs, and I have all badges (Diamond)

it's the hidden ID in the game code that makes sure that you and another trainer who have the same ID don't get mixed up
for people using RNG Reporter, you need the SID in order to figure out how to make the Random Number Generator roll in your favor (so you can get eggs with great IVs, shiny eggs, etc.)
in your case, it's to make sure that the pokemon is registered as yours so it won't disobey you for being a traded pokemon

Your Secret ID revolves solely around your chances of getting shiny Pokemon in the game, thats why it's important to have it when trying to get shiny Pokemon when using the RNG reporter.

You have to have caught a shiny Pokemon, and then you need to check their iv's in the RNG reporter.
