Their always was a Paper Pokemon. It was the Part Legndary Trio: Rock, Paper, Scisors Here's the Idea: RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Teabagger9777 - 04-20-2011 do people want to confirm my paleo designs RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Geekz_R_us - 04-20-2011 (04-20-2011, 01:48 PM)Paleoking Wrote: do people want to confirm my paleo designsI would but I don't know where they arez Edit: Plus I'm pretty busy :\ RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Garamonde - 04-20-2011 (04-20-2011, 01:48 PM)Paleoking Wrote: do people want to confirm my paleo designs I confirm them! EDIT: @Shadow Penguin: Link to Matt's Pokemon: Paleot, and Palestar and Paleoking RE: TSR PokeDex Project - NICKtendo DS - 04-20-2011 An alternative to the Rock Paper Scissor Trio: The Muse Trio Aone (Stone+Aoide, the muse of song) Type: Fight Song Pokémon She chants a melody that triggers fantasy. Her music sounds like an epic man to man fight. Scelete (Scissors+Melete, the muse of practice) Type: Steel Redo Pokémon Scelete dislikes first versions. She will destroy first drafts to motivate repetition which leads to improvement. Paneme (Paper+Mneme, the muse of memory) Type: Ghost Memory Pokémon To make sure poems are not forgotten, Paneme stores every literal word inside her hollow, paper-like body. RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Garamonde - 04-20-2011 Wow those are... awesome Nick! Although may I ask why they more resemble guys than girls? RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Perseus - 04-20-2011 I think it's the eyebrows, but they are awesome! I'm all for them being the trio EDIT: Wasn't Meloetta based on a muse? RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Geekz_R_us - 04-20-2011 The one on the far right creeps me out... RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Chaoxys - 04-20-2011 Hey Nicktendo, this may be stretching it a bit, but what if you combine the current idea for the ghost one with those japanese vampires? You know, the one with the paper on their face. Idk, it seems fitting to the ghost type and it would be an interesting look. EDIT- Also, on that note, I had a list of 3 japanese mythological creatures that would have worked perfectly for the rock paper scissors theme. I'm trying to remember them... uh... Rock was the rock wall guy (that thing that looks like a Whomp) Paper was the umbrella or the lantern, both of which I believe are made of paper And scissors was based on an imp that cut off peoples hair to Not only would these result in interesting designs, but also interesting types. RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Garamonde - 04-20-2011 I gotta admit, Paneme reminds me of a nun. But they all look awesome nontheless. Great work as always NICKtendo! RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Koopaul - 04-20-2011 Well the Pill Bug was added because I saw a lot of people comment on it. here are some of my oppinions guys: First of all make sure that the type makes sense for the animal you are giving it to. Why would a Panda be a fire type? Why would a possum be an electric type? This is one of my rules: "Make sure types make sense" Secondly slow down on the ideas. I prefer it if you give me one well thought out idea with a design before suggesting any more. Nicktendo always gives out completed suggestions including an idea, a design, and more. Try being more like him. Finally I'll comment on a few Pokemon, the mirror/ painting Pokemon doesn't really makes sense to me. Why would one gender be a mirror, and the other be a painting? Remember beigna different gender doesn't mean you're an entirely different Pokemon... with the exception of Nidoran. Nicktendo I like how you made the legendary trio human-like, that's something that's never been done before. It is pretty cool but it's un Poké-like. It creeps me out the one on the far right... EDIT: Maybe make them cute little Chibi's (Look it up on the InterWebz) RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Garamonde - 04-20-2011 (04-20-2011, 06:39 PM)Koopaul Wrote: First of all make sure that the type makes sense for the animal you are giving it to. This is one of my rules: "Make sure types make sense" I just wanna say Koopaul that Pikachu and Pachirisu didn't really have a reason for being Electric type but they were. Pika and Pachi were somewhat the same in the sense that they had "electric pouches" in their cheeks, so I don't see why there couldn't be an Electric type possum if it had a power plug for a tail. I'm not complaining just wanted to point that out. RE: TSR PokeDex Project - KP Shadow - 04-20-2011 If we can still get designs confirmed, I'd like to get that chupacabra design (That uncolored thing in the middle) that Chaoxys proposed and I later colored confirmed. I'm not complaining just wanted to point that out. Oh I see that was going to be the electric rodent eh? Well possums are actually marsupials, not rodents. Rodents include mice, rats, squirrels, porcupines, beavers, chipmunks and stuff. Rodents are usually quick nimble and hyperactive. This is a common trait of electric types. Possums are slow and pretend to die in order to survive predators. These sneaky techniques are more suited for a Dark type, especially since possums are nocturnal. |
