RE: Doodles and Finished Pieces. - Alpha Six - 01-04-2011 MUCH better. The pose is more dynamic too, great stuff. RE: Doodles and Finished Pieces. - Star - 01-04-2011 Now that, is what I call an improvement. I'm lovin it man! : ) And I know this isn't a finished piece, but I need some anatomy help on it. I'm not sure if I fully got it right(humans are my weakness, especially females lol). This is one of Tyvon's characters, Natalie, and I'm drawing her for a secret project which will be revealed when done. I just need to see if I got the pose down right before I color it in photoshop. I feel something is off. : / RE: Doodles and Finished Pieces. - Alpha Six - 01-04-2011 I think the biggest problem here is that the pose is kinda unidentifiable. It looks kinda like she's doing a baseball slide but I can't fully tell. RE: Doodles and Finished Pieces. - Star - 01-04-2011 It's suppose to be like a mid-air kick. Something about it is really bothering me and I think it may be the legs. RE: Doodles and Finished Pieces. - LeleleleMAXIMUM - 01-04-2011 Thanks, guys. Is she avoiding gunfire? I think the most glaring problem is her right foot. It doesn't look like a shoe and her calves, foot, and heel are all lined up wrong. And her left hand looks.. small? I think it's pretty solid, though. I can't draw wimmenz either. For a flying kick, she's too horizontal and her hair should be flying back a little. Still good, though EDIT: I tried it, and her left elbow/arm must go further back to balance her kicking leg. and her right arm should go forward a bit. That's why she looks like she's slididng. RE: Doodles and Finished Pieces. - Star - 01-04-2011 No problem man. And she is avoiding an attack while kicking at the same time. Would the right foot be the one kicking? lol I'm kinda tired at the moment so sorry for that. Thank you so much for your help. At least I'm not the only one! Even though I've seen many wimmenz..I can't draw them all that well anatomy-wise : P I see what you mean for the horizontal problem. I think I could fix that by making her kicking leg go up a bit higher. I didn't even think about her hair! I made the ribbon like things on her arm go in that direction but not the hair! RE: Doodles and Finished Pieces. - Helmo - 01-04-2011 (01-03-2011, 11:16 PM)Murderbeard Wrote: so make the torso/shoulders thinner and make legs thinner/thicker? this is a ninja in disgaea style I don't know what that is but it looks better now the head is still too big RE: Doodles and Finished Pieces. - Star - 01-04-2011 Well..now that I'm looking at the two compared, it may not be all that close to Disgaea style, but it's still smexy! I tried changing the leg up a bit by making it a tad longer and moving it up a bit. I did it this way instead of changing the arms so I wouldn't have to change them lol I seriously need to clean it up when I get the anatomy down. EDIT: If it's still having that problem, then I'll change the arms like you said. RE: Doodles and Finished Pieces. - Baegal - 01-04-2011 to me, it just seems a bit static, or she's just lying on the ground. Make the band on her left arm and her hair show that she's in motion RE: Doodles and Finished Pieces. - Drinks - 01-04-2011 The megas are pretty awesome. RE: Doodles and Finished Pieces. - Lexou Duck - 01-05-2011 (01-04-2011, 06:48 PM)Star/Starpower Wrote: Well..now that I'm looking at the two compared, it may not be all that close to Disgaea style, but it's still smexy! The legs are way too short, imo. Her calves meet her feet almost directly, which is bad. btw, her left foot looks ok, whilst the right has way too big heels, and no footbone. At all. RE: Doodles and Finished Pieces. - Star - 01-05-2011 Thanks! I'll extend both of her legs a bit. I see what you mean about the heels, I'll fix that as well. I like how what I thought would be the easiest part is giving me the most trouble lol RE: Doodles and Finished Pieces. - Lexou Duck - 01-05-2011 (01-03-2011, 08:08 PM)Alpha Six Wrote: On the profile view, his jaw bone is too far in front of him. Also, glad I could help Starpower RE: Doodles and Finished Pieces. - LeleleleMAXIMUM - 01-05-2011 Yeah I guess the head is too big. Probably because I based it a bit too much on the game/s (been playing Cursed Memories waaaay too much) And also on this: http://img713.imageshack.us/img713/2862/disgaea4character01.jpg which shows that to make it more accurate, the torso would have to be thinner (making the head look even bigger) and the legs would have to be way longer. >_< I just didn't want to betray my aesthetics that bad. Let's call it Disgaea-inspired. The legs atm are pretty long, imo. :X RE: Doodles and Finished Pieces. - Alpha Six - 01-05-2011 speed drawing practice: took about 20 minutes to fill the page i also did some style experimentation |
