I wonder if he' going to be a "wimp" character, i.e. tripping over himself to execute most of his attacks etc or what. I'm just glad Capcom finally gave in and made him playable. Just give me a Magatama / Psychelock super where he angrily presses the opponent and I'll be set

I never really got into a lot of Capcom's franchises, so there haven't been many chances for them to anger me, but I do think this Ultimate MvC3 business is idiotic. They're releasing it less than a year after the original came out. There is literally no reason to buy the original now, and anyone that isn't a huge superfan will go out and buy the original game, only to find that a completely improved version is out a couple of months later, and they will be Incredibly Pissed Off. It's just bad business.
Also, keeping Jill and Shuma Gorath as DLC, even for the new game, whose main spiel is more characters? How does that make sense????
I'm glad they ended up adding Frank West though, because I'm a big Dead Rising fan. I'm really hoping there'll be some Phoenix Wright/She-Hulk/Frank West crossover legal drama stuff, that'd be pretty great.

noteworthy things from the interview w/ niitsuma:
-they had fun giving ryu new shit and they're doing it because he's the flagship character :') (there's also the fact that he's considered subpar at best by most and chrisg is the only player doing any work with him currently)
-c. viper's getting a new move. they didn't say what it is though

Oh yeah, I actually mean Tron Bonne, but everybody seems to love her.
It's quite funny, actually. We get two Mega Man characters, none of which are flagship characters. I mean, both Felicia and Morrigan make sense, since they both, together with Demitri, share the flagship thingy for Darkstalkers. Heck, Street Fighter has both Ryu and Chun-Li.
And yet we don't get anything from the original Mega Man.

we probably got tron because her moveset is not even remotely similar to mega man's but mega man's is similar to arthur's and even though it's SIMILAR it's not THE SAME so they went with the newer guy (arthur) instead of mega man?? tbh if i had to choose only one i'd choose arthur
the majority of the time when I'm thinking and talking about fighting game characters I'm thinking in terms of movesets and mechanics so maybe that's why i seem to be one of the only ones without their panties in a bunch about a lack of mega man (this is coming from a fan of the mega man games, too!!)
it'd be kind of neat if they could put in X, since we haven't seen him yet, but if they can't come up with cool and unique moves for him then I'd understand
edit: also here's some info from the ask capcom sesson with chris svensson:
• Gene from God Hand was in very close consideration for UMvC3's roster. They had more characters in the final pool than they could put in the game, and Gene happened to be in that category. Mega Man was in the final pool of characters too.
maybe if they make dlc for this game they'll add mega man in (hopefully they do gene first!!!), i imagine if they make character dlc they would start with "hmm, who did we originally want to do but ended up not doing"
