I did the same I don't remember the exact number though, it's been a pretty long time
I can't actually fight dracula anymore because my shoulder button is broken and I can't use the wings.

my other shoulder button is broken so i can't backdash (or super jump)

Can't remember how long it took me to kill Dracula, but my L button was broken before I even owned the game, so I played through it without using the backdash.
And then a couple of weeks ago, around a year after I beat the game, I realized you could choose change what each button does. Awesome!

what? you must be playing wrong, a ton of the monsters only did 1 damage when i first showed up (my most recent playthrough was about two weeks ago, that's why i was so vocal in my complaints towards this game)
