Never released in Japan. He's never getting in.

RE: Super Smash Bros. Wii U (Title Pending) speculation thread - AuraLancer - 07-11-2012

Yeah I know it didn't. They haven't even gotten it on VC.

While checking up on the VC release I learned that Baten Kaitos and Xenoblade are first party Nintendo franchises now... something to think about

Remember that Namco is helping out with this one. I don't think they're going to put in their muscle power and just let Pac-Man join the Brawl. We could potentially see five or more Namco characters.

No never, Nintendo only please

Just one or two character from each franchise (excluding mario characters who have their own series)

Heihachi is the face of Tekken, appeared as PS exclusive in Soul Calibur 2. TTT2 for Wii U even has a Mario reference in it, the trailer of which starred young Heihachi and Kazuya.
Pac-Man is Namco's icon. A whole cast appeared in the Mario Kart Arcade GP games.
These two are solid candidates to add to the roster. Maybe Klonoa too, because he kinda fits (never played the games, though).
I myself can't think of any other Namco character to be in it.

This is not PS All-Stars Battle Royale, so why worry? Majority is Nintendo anyways, just with a little bit more 3rd party than last game. Brawl proved it's comprehendable.

Speaking of Namco: Item idea. A Power Pill that causes opponents to flash and be extra vulnerable to being sent flying.

You mean like how Roy was used as a product advertisement and his game was never released any place outside Japan?

There's still hope for Mike Jones Sad

Here's moveset ideas for three of my most wanted characters for the new Smash. I didn't think up specifics for effects of each special yet, don't really feel like it at the moment though:

-The Masked Man
N - PK Love - PK Love graphic attack shot from Masked Man's gun
F - Shield Killer - A swift dashing slash forward. Heavy damage to Shields, lower damage otherwise.
U - Dragon Jetpack - Charges his winged jetpack and rockets off in a chosen direction.
D - Lightning Strike - Chargeable. The charge doesn't determine the power, but the distance away the lightning will hit.
FS - The Final Needle - Pulls the needle and an eruption of fire bursts from the Masked Man's location, followed by a rain of fiery meteors.

-Mike Jones
N - Ace Pitch - Chargeable. In addition to throwing an ordinary baseball when holding nothing, it also allows Mike to throw a small held item at a long distance and high speed when fully charged.
F - Shooting Star - Chargeable
U - Cleats Kick - Flying jumpkick through the air that allows him to lands on an enemy's head and spring off.
D - Magic Mirror - Reflects projectiles.
FS - Supernova - Flies straight across the screen when thrown while grounded, but fires diagonally down when thrown in the air and then levels out straight when hitting the ground.
Colors: Blue, Orange, Green, Purple, Magenta

-Deoxys (Changes into forms for different moves, not as different characters)
N - Psycho Boost - In Normal Form
F - Zap Cannon - In Attack Form
U - Extreme Speed - In Speed Form
D - Iron Defense - In Defense Form
FS - Hyper Beam
Colors: Red, Yellow (Shiny), Purple, Black/White,

KOS-MOS and Dig Dug are another pair of potential candidates.

Not sure if you noticed, but Nintendo is based in Japan, and primarily interested in advertising to Japan with characters that people know in Japan.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one that wants this. Hell, they could just call him Claus on the select screen.

And yeah, Olimar is totally gone in favor of a newer representative. Just like Ness and Marth. Oh, wait.

I really doubt Ness is going anywhere. He's one of the 12 veterans, even if he's a secret character.
Olimar would be more likely to leave than Ness, because he's been in only one of the three games. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Uh oh, the thread's getting to that stage where people start suggesting movesets!

Olimar has been in 2/3 games... If you mean Ness has only been in 1/3, that's true, but he's easily the most famous of the three heroes and had some influence on the third game's plot. Plus he's grandfathered in thanks to 64/Melee.

RE: Super Smash Bros. Wii U (Title Pending) speculation thread - Baegal - 07-11-2012

Wait, what? I meant to say Olimar was only in Brawl, and that he would be more likely to be replaced than Ness because Ness was a veteran in all three of the games. Am I missing something?
