That's really nicely made! I don't think the ribcage looks too bad at all.
Isn't there a way to hide the torso completely and then sculpt a new one? I dimly recall having an avatar of The Violator from Spawn that did that.
Or maybe it was just shrinking bodyparts or posing them weirdly to hide them under the model, thinking about it. USELESS COMMENT, GO.

Actually to be honest, being a secondlife nerd, going that route never looks right (because of the clipping and all), BUT, they're apparently introducing full mesh support soon, so you can actually make an avatar in whatever program you like, then import it straight to the grid, rigging and all.
Can't wait to see how many copyright infringing avatars get made.
