Is Luigi not a character too? It looks like it in your mockup.

No, he's not...
But he's actually part of Mario's Finale! C:

I suggest you using a smaller and simpler hud than you've got there now. A game that uses half of the screen just to render the hud is... pretty weird

the shading on the brick blocks are still wrong. The highlight should be coming from the top-left corner, like the other objects.

Pretty good.

You have no idea how much of an annoyance that would be to play. The Lifebars should be a lot, a lot smaller. You can't make them on that scale if you want the game to be at all visually appealing. They're sprited nicely, but as far as gameplay is concerned they're an eyesore.

Megaman looks a bit more modern then Mario, with the bright colors and such.
I mean you kept them true to their original games respectfully, but if they were to
be put into the same game, or mockup, they kinda clash. Same goes for link, maybe
you could add that fourth color you used on Megaman/Samus to Mario and Link.

The only problem I see with Megaman is that you tried keeping him closer to his original style, as opposed to Mario who's been much more stylized.

Everything is fine to me

I'd say for the health bar, just take the characters head and put it next to the bars, and make the bars thinner.

RE: Smash Bros. 1985/Famicom Wars 2 - 2+D - 06-14-2010

Pretty interesting style. And for the fact that its original makes me feel like spriting in 8-bit right now, this is pretty cool, I would like to see what becomes of it later when everything is done.

Nice revenge downrep, Iceman.

Nice pointless post, Maneko.

No one cares about your rep, take it to PM.

Heh, Thanks!

Also, Updates:

I figured adding white to Mario for certain things does in-fact make him match Megaman more.

Very great looking, the last image seems nice in shading for a very small sprite. But I recomend for you to stick with the 8-bit style, it suits it better.
