RE: Features You'd Like to See More in Games - Goemar - 06-03-2010 Co-op. I don't care if it may 'damage' the campaign Mr CoD4 people - I want co-op. Resistance 2*, Killzone 2 and CoD 4 all should have had proper co-op. *Had a crappy co-op mission based mode. A lot of games should also have 'get everything' codes like Rock Band did. So say with retro collection games you don't have to play a game you don't want to 50 times just to play Ristar. Street Fighter 4 is another game which could have done with this (though they did fix this with the Super version). And I don't know how'd they do it but if games could make a quick save-state when there's a power cut (hell an emergency battery in the console would work I guess) that would be awesome. As for LBP, the jumping killed it for me. RE: Features You'd Like to See More in Games - Alpha Six - 06-03-2010 Modern Warfare 2 has a co-op mode, but instead of the campaign, it's a bunch of mission waves that are both original, from the campaign, or from COD4 itself. RE: Features You'd Like to See More in Games - Cobalt Blue - 06-03-2010 the best thing internet multiplayer has brought us is, so far, co-op games. fuck free for all, i love teamwork and everything can be ten times more satisfactory when you actually have to work with someone else to achieve a goal. But I want the campaign in co-op, that's my point. Other co-op modes are fine but I want the campaign, the actual campaign, in co-op. I mean would those games REALLY not work in co-op? Maybe they won't be as deep or something but it'll still work and having the campaign in co-op wouldn't take anything away from the single player game. I've just noticed in most JRPGs recently, like Star Ocean, Lost Odyssey, Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy XIII, you only have slots for weapon and an accessory. Or a weapon, one piece of armor and an accessory. Doesn't really seem to be a problem in games like Oblivion where there's a crapload of armor types, but maybe I'm playing the wrong JRPGs. RE: Features You'd Like to See More in Games - Jovian-12 - 06-06-2010 co-op. I have so much more fun playing with someone rather than against them; even better if the game is made for it (instead of having it be another mode), like Kirby Super Star or the Tales series. actually the world needs more co-op rpgs in general. variable soundtracks! you know, the kind where the music changes tempo, gets more intense, etc etc depending on what you do. Meteos is a shining example of this. uh...I swear there's more but I think if I went on it'd turn into more "things I like" rather than "things I want." so this is good for now. RE: Features You'd Like to See More in Games - Gwen - 06-07-2010 I usually hate Co-op, with my friends, you do one thing wrong and they flip the fuck out, and they're no fun to joke around with. Examples being 1. L4D, my friend accidentally shot me down at the beginning, so I just shot down everyone quick as a joke, and he freaks out, basically shouting, "GOD DAMNIT, IT WAS AN ACCIDENT, THATS IT, I'M DONE PLAYING SINCE YOUR JUST A FUCKING ASSHOLE WHO HAS TO RUIN A GAME FOR OTHERS" and then another example would be GOW. I find it funner to play by myself due to a shaky camera and co-op just makes it harder. Well my friend who had played the game before flew through the level, left me behind and started calling me a dumbass every 15 seconds since I couldn't see a door hidden by rocks. I'll just go play Halo co-op with my girlfriend and her siblings, they actually laugh when shit happens and don't flip out or with another one of my friends, who just plays the game and doesn't complain. So yeah, I'd rather not have Co-op for the most part. The fuckers can watch me play or play against me. RE: Features You'd Like to See More in Games - Gwen - 06-07-2010 My friends are pretty cool otherwise...but whatever. RE: Features You'd Like to See More in Games - water dog - 06-07-2010 my friends used to do that to me but they got used to me sucking at non-rpgs RE: Features You'd Like to See More in Games - Omegajak - 06-07-2010 You know what feature's I'd like to see more of? Killzone 3 having Co-Op. Persona 5 having choice of sex. Devil May Cry 3's engine and style being in every Devil May Fry forever more. Honestly though you know what action RPG's need better of? Humour. Brave Fencer Musashi is one of the most lovable and hilarious stories ever. Even the serious tones were covered with comedy. |
