RE: Super Smash Bros. Wii-U/3DS Thread of JAPAN TIME! - Gwen - 12-31-2011 If there is one, I haven't gotten that far yet RE: Super Smash Bros. Wii-U/3DS Thread of JAPAN TIME! - Tellis - 12-31-2011 So wait, there isn't a boomerang in Skyward Sword. So will they give him a boomerang anyway, or maybe they'll give him the beetle instead, further diversifying him from Toon Link (who would still have the boomerang)? Though I suppose boomerang logic falls through when you think of the fact that only kid Link could use the boomerang in OoT, but SSB Link uses it anyway. RE: Super Smash Bros. Wii-U/3DS Thread of JAPAN TIME! - Gwen - 12-31-2011 I'd love if they used the beetle. RE: Super Smash Bros. Wii-U/3DS Thread of JAPAN TIME! - Tellis - 12-31-2011 Yeah, me too. I think it's one of the coolest Zelda items ever. I'm just thinking of how it could be used... Would you have full-range control or just sort of up and down movement in the direction you shot it? Can it pick up items? How long do you let it last, etc. etc.? RE: Super Smash Bros. Wii-U/3DS Thread of JAPAN TIME! - Gwen - 12-31-2011 I could see it being like snakes missile, which you can guide around, and it could damage and pick up items. Last the same duration as snakes missile or a tad longer. RE: Super Smash Bros. I'm not referring to series like Mother and F-Zero though (although I could complain about that for hours on end too). I'm talking about Metroid. The series had been riding a recent resurgence in popularity (something that definitely began with Metroid Fusion, and up to now I think it's probably ended with Other M). In Brawl all Metroid got was one additional character who was tacked on to the only pre-existing character. I feel like that was pretty lame on their part. To completely throw a wrench into my statement though (just to be fair), the franchises that had the most characters didn't really get any new additions in Brawl, just tweaking or reimagining (in the case of Toon Link). That doesn't really excuse the laziness in Wolf's moveset from Brawl. That wouldn't have been SO bad had it not been for the fact he was the LAST character people found when the game came out. Laaaaaame. RE: Super Smash Bros. Wii-U/3DS Thread of JAPAN TIME! - Vipershark - 12-31-2011 That's because the ONLY relevant character in the entire metroid series is samus, as far as smash bros goes. People argue about Ridley but somehow forget that he's a GIGANTIC MECHA DRAGON and not fit for a fighting game at all outside of an NPC boss character. Saying you want Ridley is like saying you want Kraid for an unlockable. It just doesn't work. RE: Super Smash Bros. RE: Super Smash Bros. Wii-U/3DS Thread of JAPAN TIME! - Gwen - 12-31-2011 No... I can't even begin to imagine a moveset for Ridley, also, he's huge, he wouldn't fit. RE: Super Smash Bros. Wii-U/3DS Thread of JAPAN TIME! - Helmo - 12-31-2011 Uh im not that found of smash bros anymore but: Characters: Takamaru, Isaac, Donbe and Hikari ,Saki, Ray Mk3, Tom Nook, Mike Jones, Muddy Mole, Sabure Prince, Goku (not the DBZ one), Professor Layton, Starfy, Little Mac, Tamagon, and Sukapon all need adding or some larger role. Series that need attetion: Custom Robo, Advance Wars, Sin and Punishment, Rhythm Tengoku, Ouendan, Golden Sun Stages wanted: Devil World, Custom Robo stage, MM clock tower, Larger Pokemon Stadium, Gyromite, Duck Hunt, Doki Doki Panic, Trophies need to give more history lessons about nintondo and stuff More than half the characters suck as characters and move set wise, and they always leave out too much good stuff like my favorite music, stages from games, and the stage interaction is really bland... RE: Super Smash Bros. Wii-U/3DS Thread of JAPAN TIME! - Gwen - 12-31-2011 What sucked moveset wise? RE: Super Smash Bros. Wii-U/3DS Thread of JAPAN TIME! - Kitsu - 12-31-2011 I can't even begin to think of a moveset for Captain Falcon. Oh wait. RE: Super Smash Bros. No. Bowser is maybe twice mario's size, but if I'm remembering correctly, Ridley is about three or four times Samus' size, and Samus is almost as tall as Bowser. Ridley is just too big. RE: Super Smash Bros. Wii-U/3DS Thread of JAPAN TIME! - Yo-Yo Boy - 12-31-2011 Then the only character left from metroid I can think of is Dark Samus. Cloning time! RE: Super Smash Bros.
