RE: Mega Man Ripping Project (Classic/X) - White-Jet - 01-05-2017 Apparently 1.0 is the only version that activates Map Editor. v1.1 (or Rev A as the site I got the ROM from labeled it) blacked out after leaving the weapon menu, and the European version froze after pressing start on the stage I entered. Oh, well, thanks for the advice, anyway. At least one of the Invincibility codes won't knock me around too much so I could only focus on taking out the bosses rather than the surrounding enemies. I just hope it doesn't soft-lock the second scripted fight with Vile like it did during the Intro Stage (But then that could also be Copy Protection screwing me over). RE: Mega Man Ripping Project (Classic/X) - Magma MK-II - 01-05-2017 Gate Rainbows, the sheet. Also f**k this boss. RE: Mega Man Ripping Project (Classic/X) - Ton - 01-05-2017 Geez, that's a lot of effects. Also, White-Jet, I got your stuff up. Awesome work! I don't think I ever noticed how much Boomer's stage looks like Crash Man's or Elec Man's. RE: Mega Man Ripping Project (Classic/X) - Magma MK-II - 01-07-2017 Lifesaver Something minor. RE: Mega Man Ripping Project (Classic/X) - Ton - 01-07-2017 I'm not sure I remember this guy. RE: Mega Man Ripping Project (Classic/X) - Deathbringer - 01-07-2017 He doesn't really do much... ...actually, I don't remember where he shows up. --- Looked it up and realized I don't think I ever beat the game with Zero. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7s2dzYiTywk RE: Mega Man Ripping Project (Classic/X) - Ton - 01-07-2017 I think I ONLY beat it with Zero. RE: Mega Man Ripping Project (Classic/X) - Magma MK-II - 01-07-2017 He shows up in the boss fight with X on the 3rd virus stage (you gotta be playing with Zero). You know, it's actually possible to rip most of X (Ultimate Armor) and Zero's sprites on this particular fight. RE: Mega Man Ripping Project (Classic/X) - Ton - 01-07-2017 Really? Why's that? RE: Mega Man Ripping Project (Classic/X) - White-Jet - 01-07-2017 And now for the Sigma Stages, plus the Ending in all it's disassembled display (minus X since he doesn't do much but stand, run and dash-shoot, and the text since there may be a font-based sprite sheet in the works, probably not by me). Sigma Stage 1 Sigma Stage 2 Sigma Stage 3 Sigma Stage 4 Ending Some odd things I've noticed while ripping these sprites, aside from Ranga Banga, Wolf Sigma and the capsule Zero was confined to being part of the stage's background, was unforeseen areas that aren't normally accessible outside of Map Editor, such as the rocky area above the Bosspider stage (though I'm assuming is a glitch, but since Map Editor stopped scrolling at that point, it could be a hiding place when it retreats back to the top), and the plethora of the fourth stage's battle area (which was the only way I was able to figure out how high the main stage is supposed to be since every sector is the same top to bottom). The ramps Bosspider slides down on were part of the background, but there were too many combinations for me to rip on that very stage, and I didn't want to make the sheet longer than it needed to be, so I only took one of the ramps and left it on the side. How I was even able to rip these, given my earlier fret of not being able to get past the first stage due to either Copy Protection or Anti-Cheat methods, I recently (and embarrassingly) found out that being thrown back to the Intro Stage was a meager set back that only took away X's armor parts (That was later rectified when I added another cheat that kept his armor intact even after being booted back to the Intro Stage, I just needed to remember to turn off the other game-breaking cheats so I don't soft-lock the game and have to start over). The only reason why I didn't download a fixed or European version of the game was because they disabled Map Editor, either throwing me onto a black screen or freezing where I press start on the stage. Thankfully, the flags stopped after I beat the third stage, though shooting Wolf Sigma with anything other than Rolling Shield still threw me back to Stage Select where I would have to start the fight over again. RE: Mega Man Ripping Project (Classic/X) - Ton - 01-09-2017 Amazing! They're all up now! Very impressive work! RE: Mega Man Ripping Project (Classic/X) - Magma MK-II - 01-11-2017 Sigma X5 has the hardest Sigma in the whole series. This was also a huge pain to rip. On another note, I'm looking forward to see him the new MvC. RE: Mega Man Ripping Project (Classic/X) - Ton - 01-11-2017 He does look much cooler here than MMX4. Also, I beat this one and not X4, so it's weird that you say he's harder. Hah. Nice work, regardless! RE: Mega Man Ripping Project (Classic/X) - Magma MK-II - 01-11-2017 In X4 you have a lot of room to maneuver, so he's more of an annoyance due to have four different forms, while in X5 the arena is very restricted and his attacks hurt a lot (I don't play in the Easy setting, BTW). Also beating him with the Ultimate Armor doesn't count.
