RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros (!Flash Programmer Wanted!) - Omegakyogre - 02-18-2009 2x or 3x, for me. Out of curiosity: What language are you using for this? RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros (!Flash Programmer Wanted!) - Alpha Six - 02-18-2009 The Games Factory. RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros (!Flash Programmer Wanted!) - King of Bad Posters - 02-18-2009 i use 2x mostly. RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros (!Flash Programmer Wanted!) - GadgetTR - 02-18-2009 2x By any chance, it wouldn't be possible to make it an option to use 1x, 2x, or 3x, would it..? Ah, speaking of options, there are certain options that I think every game should have: Sound On/Off (Volume control if possible.) Music On/Off (again, volume control if possible.) Settable controls. (If reasonable; I understand how difficult this might be. It's not really a necessity.) As for the controls, I plan to make a variation of pre-set controls - so if you guys can state your most common/favorite kind of keyboard control, please do! -- and what do you mean, do you want a size x3?? I think that would make the game go out of proportion and make the pixel style pointless. I'll see what I can do though.. And by the way, I've fixed up every detail/glitch that you guys have mentioned (including variable jumping! xD), except for glitch that Hienze mentioned of killing Goomba's by walking.. are you sure you didn't have Fire Mario on? xD ..or even whilst flashing after taking damage? I've made it so Mario has a second of invulnerability after taking damage, and can kill anything in it's path, ahah. RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros (!Flash Programmer Wanted!) - andrio - 02-19-2009 I normally use 2x. Oh, btw, i think you've done this, but, can you drag the window around.? RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros (!Flash Programmer Wanted!) - Heinze - 02-20-2009 can i help you something? Like making a bullet bill? Lakitus, Magikoopas? .-. RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros (!Flash Programmer Wanted!) - ChaosBlazeX - 02-20-2009 C'mon Andrioo!! New sprite sheet soon please! I wanna get this project moving... If not, shall I just rip the graphics from your mock-ups again like last time? I'm working my butt off here. and Yes Heinze, help us all you can! Yes, I too can see the big icon that appears in the corner of your screen after quitting the game, so I was aware what utility was used in the making of the game. My question was, then, does this program or utility have its own language, or does it use a common language such as C++, etc.? How much of the utility requires actual, do-it-yourself coding? And, it's excellent you've fixed those bugs. This is really turning into something. RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros (!Flash Programmer Wanted!) - andrio - 02-20-2009 As retarded as this sounds, i've lost almost everything i had on Superb Mario Bros. I try to open the folder, but it's corrupted. So this sucks. Alot. For the next couple of days i'm gonna have to recovering anything i uploaded onto the internet of it. Which is gonna take a little while. Then i'm gonna have to redo all that stuff i didn't upload :'( Q: How many levels do you think there should be for each world? 3 or 4? RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros (!Flash Programmer Wanted!) - S-Cpu - 02-21-2009 there are programs that can recover lost or corrupted files actually, i have one at home. Try getting 'Undelete Plus' , maybe it can recover your files? A: 4, including the castle/boss level RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros (!Flash Programmer Wanted!) - Heinze - 02-21-2009 Hm... I think ... 6 With fortress and castle ^^ RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros (!Flash Programmer Wanted!) - ChaosBlazeX - 02-21-2009 I think 1. ahaha, nah, well, I only plan to do one level per world at the moment, and then I may go back at the end. Cos' I'm not one for making very long-running projects, cos' I get bored pretty easily of the same thing, thus the reason why I want more sprite sheets as soon as possible! -- and now that you've lost your stuff, this sucks majorly. (I don't plan on giving up anytime soon though. lol.) So, anyone who wants to help with this project in any way or form should just go ahead with it, before ye ol' me gets bored with the project and scraps it. EDIT: and Andrio, did you actually intend to do bosses for each world too?? lol RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros (!Flash Programmer Wanted!) - Niko Bellic - 02-21-2009 I can try to make sprites of different enimies and people. |
