My thoughts exactly. It was a great concept that fell short because of how it was presented. The limitations of the DS are what separate Phantom Hourglass from Wind Waker. Unfortunately, it seems to me that the same thing will happen to Spirit Tracks. So I say to Nintendo: STOP RELEASING DS ZELDA GAMES! RE: The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks announced for the DS - Vipershark - 09-10-2009 Or better yet, HEY NINTENDO MAKE GOOD ZELDA GAMES! RE: The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks announced for the DS - Gold - 09-12-2009 Or better yet, people who don't like the games realize they aren't forced to play them ![]() RE: The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks announced for the DS - Alpha Six - 09-12-2009 This logic would work if it wasn't for the fact that "whoopsy doodle i just spent 30 dollars on a shitty zelda game, let me go return it to gamestop for 5" RE: The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks announced for the DS - Mewthriii - 09-12-2009 (09-12-2009, 02:15 AM)Arthur Wrote: Or better yet, people who don't like the games realize they aren't forced to play them Or, even better than that, Nintendo should pander to the REAL Zelda fans who have all 100%'d every other Zelda game. Small Fry games like Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks should just be appetizers that shortly predate much larger, tougher, and more fun Zelda games. Sure, we aren't forced to play them, but true Zelda gamers need something new to play and not only have they not had a true canon release since late 2007, that game was a mini-quest, barely a real game unto itself and not much fun to 100%. RE: The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks announced for the DS - nicktheslayer - 09-13-2009 They should at least stop making games with Toon Link. For a while. RE: The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks announced for the DS - tsr moderation staff - 09-13-2009 its perfectly possible to make good DS zeldas. I mean, three of the greatest zelda games of all time are for far more primitive handhelds. nintendo is just being retarded RE: The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks announced for the DS - Daisydoll - 09-15-2009 read this. it's true http://thecoffeedesk.com/news/index.php/2009/08/07/zelda-spirit-tracks-review/ RE: The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks announced for the DS - Sol - 09-15-2009 (09-15-2009, 08:50 PM)Daisydoll Wrote: read this. it's true That person is quite a powerful writer. They are not going to make you a game just for nostalgia's sake. The next gen has no nostalgia. Nintendo is pulling new people into the videogame craze. The next generation of Zelda is forming now, and it is bringing in a new army of new Zelda fans with it. These latest games are what's keeping up Zelda, not fond memories of the past. RE: The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks announced for the DS - Rökkan - 09-16-2009 posted there. i love sarcasm Quote:Yes, trains don’t fit the Zelda universe because there never were any steampunk elements in Majora’s Mask and Twilight Princess, therefore it just don’t fit. RE: The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks announced for the DS - Sengir - 09-16-2009 fuck i cant find Rokkan's post...
