RE: Gussprint's Submissions - Take III - Ton - 02-19-2013 Well, more specifically, I meant across all platforms. The spriting style barely changes throughout the games(And their ports), so I think we're good. Oh, so you mean you just discovered how to use it. I thought you found a way to align the tiles or something. The only reason why I stopped ripping sprites was because I literally cannot arrange those jumbled tiles. RE: Gussprint's Submissions - Take III - Ton - 02-22-2013 Ok, I've updated Metal Slug 1-5's weapons sheet. #6 doesn't have one, so I'm assuming we can safely add this sheet to that section? And just for some finality, we're sure we can add/replace in the DS/GBA/whatever sections, right? I thought you found a way to align the tiles or something. Sadly, you still have to assemble everything yourself, yes. And it's not as easy as with MS7, believe me. The best advice I've got on this situation is this: Rip some sprites via snapshots as well, so that you know which tile goes where. Worked wonders with my new Rebel Astro rip. After who knows how many playthrough sessions with MS6 (Via Metal Slug Anthology), I can confirm that sheet can be added no problem. The only things on it that really aren't used there(Besides the obvious stuff) are the "Big" variants, since Fat Mode is pretty much abandoned from MS6 onwards, but other than that, we're all good. And as far as I can tell, the graphics are kept nigh-intact even in Metal Slug Advance. They just, you know, have their animation horribly cut off. Much like everything else. EDIT: Since I'm in a mood for some previews... First one to guess where THIS comes from gets a cookie. If the source is PSP dumps, remember you can always hit me up for some more. (if it's MS7 then I can help with that too ) RE: Gussprint's Submissions - Take III - Gussprint - 02-26-2013 (02-25-2013, 05:49 PM)RandomPerson78642 Wrote: Just out of curiosty, where are you getting your MS6 tiles? Yeah, thing is... I don't know the first thing on how to get MS6 sprites period. That sprite is actually from MS7's tiles. From what I can tell, they seem to use the same palette as their NEOGEO counterparts, so that bridge's crossed too. RE: Gussprint's Submissions - Take III - RandomPerson78642 - 02-26-2013 (02-26-2013, 11:01 AM)Gussprint Wrote: Yeah, thing is... I don't know the first thing on how to get MS6 sprites period. I can teach you if you want. It's not much different from regular tile ripping. I guarantee it'll go better than when I was learning. We actually have a source of PSP dumps this time, so we won't have to bother Chak'n and Tonberry (who never responded anyway). Palletes included at no extra cost. RE: Gussprint's Submissions - Take III - Gussprint - 03-02-2013 So after making a douche out of myself with that CAS thing, I think it's time for a new sheet. Have some ID! Type 04 "Girida-O" [Metal Slug series] <-- "Don't come cryin' to me if that thing runs ya over, son." I've noticed no one's submitted a rip of this AI-fueled babe yet, so I figured I'd do the honors. Only thing to note is the MS4-exclusive animation being the only one ripped via snapshots(Everything else is from MS7's tiles). It's also the only animation composed of a single sprite, fancy that. Also include the Future variant's palette and projectile SFX, so that's covered as well. You all know the drill by now, just click on the image and go nuts. RE: Gussprint's Submissions - Take III - Garamonde - 03-05-2013 Toberry did you update this? RE: Gussprint's Submissions - Take III - Ton - 03-05-2013 On it. RE: Gussprint's Submissions - Take III - RandomPerson78642 - 03-06-2013 I take it you adamantly refuse to take up my offer? Ah well, it's cool. I understand. On an unrelated note, no one's posted the bazooka soldier yet. Oh, and awsome rips, as always. Frankly I've admired your motivation from the very beginning, but I just realized I never apologized for that idiotic downrep I gave you several years ago. I should've realized that not everyone can or wants to make their sheets transparent. It was my fault really for not knowing how to use photoshop. Actually, I've considered the idea since I first read it. I'm just trying to choose what to go for. As for the downrep, it's all cool. We all do what we can with what we have. (Posting this from my WII U, by the way.) RE: Gussprint's Submissions - Take III - Garamonde - 03-06-2013 tbh, Dazz actually prefers colored backgrounds (when actually possible, of course) anyway, as the user can just pop them open in MS Paint or something. not that transparency doesn't look cool though. |
