Question, aren't there blinking frames? I know they are not part of the main animations, but there should be separate eye frames or something.

Okay, we'll riped from the Pokedex, where the sprites do not blink, because this is something made exclusively for battle through the game engine, so it is very difficult to do what you ask Cute

The pokemon's eyes close when they fall asleep during the game, that's the only time they close their eyes. Does that answer your question?
