I see this too - it's a weirdly set up table that doesn't work well with the dark theme due to how the template was created. Fixing it would likely require making template edits instead of just CSS so I'm not sure it's worth the hassle but I'll look into it.

Hey, so when in the "change avatar" menu in the control panel, it says "If your avatar is too large, it will automatically be resized."
This is untrue, as when I uploaded an avatar that was "350 x 336", it refused to upload and gave me an error. So either it telling you that "it will be automatically resized" is a total lie, or it has something to do with the image format.

That's part of the forum software so I can't really do anything to change that but it was likely the image format. Animated GIFs, for instance, can't be resized automatically.
