Soul Eater Sprites - Baegal - 01-18-2010 Right now I only have maka done. I need C+c, then i can make an idle animation Also, i'm trying to stick with a 16 color pallette RE: Soul Eater Sprites - GrooveMan.exe - 01-18-2010 The style is a bit... The shading and colour choice is nice, but the pose is lifeless and those eyes are kinga scary... RE: Soul Eater Sprites - Baegal - 01-18-2010 I'm hoping to make it look a bit more lively when I animate it, but i'll work on it. Also, how do you think I could fix the eyes? RE: Soul Eater Sprites - Sengir - 01-18-2010 the lines from under the eyes could be lightened/removed RE: Soul Eater Sprites - Baegal - 01-18-2010 okay, I'll try that Any better? RE: Soul Eater Sprites - Baegal - 01-20-2010 hello? RE: Soul Eater Sprites - Vipershark - 01-20-2010 The feet look sort of jagged. RE: Soul Eater Sprites - Baegal - 01-21-2010 okay, ill work on it RE: Soul Eater Sprites - Cobalt Blue - 01-22-2010 to be honest, this really lacks all the dinamic vibe soul eater character's desings have. it looks rather empty, like a soul-less doll. RE: Soul Eater Sprites - Baegal - 01-22-2010 Can you think of anyway I can fix it? I think I get what your trying to say, but I don't really know what to do about it... RE: Soul Eater Sprites - Cobalt Blue - 01-22-2010 Assuming you have/been watching soul eater, its all about drawing she in a not so stiff gesture. RE: Soul Eater Sprites - Baegal - 01-24-2010 how's this? RE: Soul Eater Sprites - GrooveMan.exe - 01-24-2010 That definitely looks more relaxed, but may I suggest an off-center pose if she's just standing there? No one stands perfectly straight and balanced. It's very common in 3D games for a character to have a weight-shifted idle pose when not moving, but it shows up in a couple of sprite-based games too. http://www.spriters-resource.com/pc_computer/drillmilkypunch/sheet/18862 Is an example of this. The idle poses are the column on the far left. See how the pose isn't perfectly symmetrical, and looks more relaxed? You should go for that. There's probably examples of Maka's stance in the Soul Eater manga or anime, if you looked through it. RE: Soul Eater Sprites - Baegal - 01-24-2010 okay, I'll try that. should I exaggerate it a bit more? I shifted her left arm down, changed her left knee, and I'm going to make the coat swish in the animation. RE: Soul Eater Sprites - Baegal - 01-24-2010 ahhhh what happened |
