Ambitious Final Fantasy Tactics projects... a few problems that I could use some help - phlashblazer - 02-06-2010

Hi everyone, I just found this site and I think i'm in heaven.

A little about myself I'm really into animation and thinking up scenes in my head and imagining soundtracks for almost everything that's going on, a little offtopic yes lol.

Back on topic. I've always wanted to have a sidestory of a young squire becoming a Knight... based off of the epic, and I mean the definition of epic, Final fantasy tactics. My problem is, I have trouble putting together the sprites pieces if you will (having trouble with the arms), even to make simple walking animations. If someone who can maybe help me, or even put up a dumbed down tutorial for lucky me... I can bring one of my greatest gaming inspiration of ALL time to life! Who knows, maybe it'll be up on newgrounds someday.

edit: just to give an idea of what I mean by the arms, here is a location url of a spritesheet: http://spriters-resource.com/psx_ps2/fft/squirem.png

Bump, if anyone can help me with this project it'd be much appreciated, the arms. I'm having trouble putting the arms together for walking animations, if anyone has the time to come up with a simple tutorial or e-mail me @ phlashblazer@hotmail.com on how to put the arms together for walking animations; it would be awesome. Like I said I still haven't given up on this project, and since I don't know how to connect the arms myself, I'm working on a smaller animation project FFTAdvance. My ultimate goal would be to release a major sidestory series if you will of a knight platoon in the lion wars. Thanks again to anyone that can help.

Hey, phlash. Those sprites are good. I would be happy to help you with your project. Bear in mind Im not the best drawer on the website, but things like animation and sprite editing I can happily help out with.

Still taking helpers to help out with this project, Aura and I have been making some progress as far as connecting the arms however, Aura hasn't played Final Fantasy Tactics (HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE!!!111) so he hasn't seen much of the animation and how the characters move, but we're making slow progress... just doing it by eye. Trial and error always works hahah. If you'd like to help us with the arm sets, please drop me a PM! More help is always appreciated!

Thanks.

the best way to get help is not being so impatient. No one will want to help you if you come off as a 4 year old demanding help. ;P

might also help if you have more than one sprite sheet in here, too.

nevermind, i didnt read what the request was.

Attaching arms is easy.. Especially if you've actually PLAYED the game and know how it should be assembled.

That's why this deserves to be locked and you deserves a warn
If no one posted, no one is interested. If you posted some real improvement (some rips for example), then the story would go down a different way
