Need a Small Help - EliteKill - 02-07-2010 I was always having trouble with this, so i thought about coming here. Can someone give me a tutorial on how to do a move-smudge-thingy... Anyway, that can be solved with a gradient, and (I don't know how this works) making it an animated .png, which allows transparency. The actual shape shape of the movement is an arc, and you get a bigger and longer smudge as you get near the edge of the arc (here it'd be the foot). As for the animation... It isn't a very convincing move, and doesn't seem very natural nor effective, and I have the impression that the leg that's flexed gets longer. The arms lack movement: they could emphasise it. The effect you've done for now is not bad, it just lacks the gradient and a bit more of a curved shape. It's a good start. This is my (bad) try: http://clashdojo.site40.net/upload/upload/samus/a_side.gif And yes, that's an edit of Redhalberd's work RE: Need a Small Help - Cobalt Blue - 02-07-2010 just for you to know, thats meant to emulate motion blur. therefore, it usually works when you have 1)starting point 2)movement(this is where the arc appears, and its meant to be just a flash -really quick- frame). 3)ending point. do not misundertand it with stuff that is meant to be made of energy/light, wich would leave a trace of light behind. |
