Jetman - Xando - 02-21-2010 Jetman is basically a helicopter clone with a Metal Slug twist, so I guess it can be classified as a fan game, but you make the call. This game is for a competition and I have been working on it for a while now, but it is still being worked on constantly. It was not only really fun to make and play, but some of the aspects of the game are pretty technically challenging to make. Screens Download Here. Updated 2/21 Any critique or criticism is welcome. Thanks in advance. RE: Jetman - Goemar - 02-21-2010 Text needs improving, why not use the text from Metal Slug? And I don't really consider this a challenging game to make (no offense) compared to some of the things other member's of this community are coming out with. And to a degree I agree with you, I have made much more advanced games in the past, but this one was a unique challenge in that the controls for menus and such were rather limited and thus I had a difficult time making them work. After the competition, I plan to extend this as far as possible, with possibly multi-player, custom sprites etc. For the competition, I plan to use bonuses and power-ups. Thanks for the comments! RE: Jetman - Goemar - 02-21-2010 You also need to change the giant yellow squares into something better. The slug copter also looks like its been compressed. And it has not going up/down animation. If you need Slug Copter sprites the link in my sig has every one of the damn things. Other than that I guess it plays fine. Though no music... |
