[FANGAME][FINISHED] - Mega Man: Day in the Limelight - Del - 03-05-2010 DOWNLOA https://www.opendrive.com/files/6958671_xjCNW_a510 VIDEO: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CofeNnELPZ8 FORUMS: http://s4.zetaboards.com/mkfusion/topic/7898522/1/ Hello, just making a thread here to post a game a friend and member of the MKF team, Riverroad, made. This game's name is Mega Man: Day in the Limelight. What's it about? it is just another Mega Man fangame? well, not at all. Here you get to play as Mega Man 1 Robot masters, Mega Man doesn't even show up at all. You have to go through Mega Man 2's NEW custom stages, playing as Mega Man 1's masters. The plot is very simple, Dr.Light reprogramed the original six, making them the first line of defense against hostile attacks. When Dr.Wily begins his scheme to take over the world, its these masters who go after his newly made Robots, not Mega Man. The fights are set, for example, Cut Man vs Wood Man, etc. Screenshots: The current release is still a Beta, v0.6, but it's almost finished, it already has all the stages planned, the only thing left to do is polishment and bug fixing. Credits: Coder and Level Designer (basically everything): Riverroad Custom spriter: Del (me) Testers: D-Turbokiller, Del, Mushroom Kingdom Fusion Reactor's members. RE: Mega Man: Day in the Limelight - Del - 03-07-2010 Just making another post to let everyone know (if anyone's interested...) a newer version is out, fixed a couple glitches. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ICUYRCNS RE: Mega Man: Day in the Limelight - Del - 08-20-2010 Well, this game was just finished, check the video to see the new stuff and download link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CofeNnELPZ8 RE: Mega Man: Day in the Limelight, Finished fan game - TheouAegis - 08-21-2010 What did he code it in and would he be willing to release the source? RE: Mega Man: Day in the Limelight, Finished fan game - Rosencrantz - 08-21-2010 this is actually really cool well done! I can tell you guys put a ton of effort in it! The source is available to download as well. Open the Youtube video link I posted above, then in the description there's a link to the topic in our forums about the game. The first post has the download link with some details. RE: Mega Man: Day in the Limelight, Finished fan game - RATED-RKOFRANKLIN - 08-21-2010 The game play looks very good and interesting. The new graphics like Cutman's Rolling Cutter cutting enemies is awesome! The only problem I see is the plot. In the original story Dr. Light never get back the 6 robot masters. Dr. Wily continued to use them in future games. RE: Mega Man: Day in the Limelight, Finished fan game - TomGuycott - 08-21-2010 Looks damn good. Gonna download it tomorrow and give it a try. I counter that by saying Dr Wily had to steal Gutsman's body from a museum in Mega man 7. (Though in 2 he appeared as a giant tank, but that could have just been a robot copying his design). Whatever, it's a fan game, let it slide. xD RE: Mega Man: Day in the Limelight, Finished fan game - Del - 08-21-2010 It's a spin off, it doesn't have to stick to the original stuff so strictly, it's an alternate timeline post MegaMan1 if you want to look at it that way. Anyway, on a side note, take a look at this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qfVPyTjrhPQ <-- skip to 1:17 In this official MegaMan game "Super Adventure Rockman", the six masters ARE in Dr.Light's control again and they even help MegaMan. I know Dr.Wily used them against MegaMan again in The Power Fighters games, perhaps he re-reprogrammed them? It always has been unclear what happens to most Robot Masters after they're defeated in the official storyline :p RE: Mega Man: Day in the Limelight, Finished fan game - Makermatic21 - 08-22-2010 Hi Del. I saw the clip of you and Riverroad's Mega Man fan game and I have just 2 words for ya... FREAKIN' AWESOME! Dude that game looks amazing. The story may be basic, but who cares. Your game play will more than make up for that. Great job! To those of you who wanted to argue over the autehnticity of this story to the Mega Man universe... WHO CARES? You get to be the 8 ROBOT MASTERS! That's sweet. Dude I hope you guys make more games in the future, I am impressed. Until than I will enjoy this game much and I know when my friend sees this he will have an epileptic seisure because he is the biggest Mega Man fan I know. Again great job. I will be playing this and waiting for your future projects, should you decide to give game making another go around. Take care. It's Riverroad's game, he did EVERYTHING I only helped with a few sprites & portraits, but thanks! There are more games being made by other members of the MKFusionTeam, you should visit our forums or YouTube channel to see a few.. none of them are finished yet but there are playable demos for: -Xeno Fighters (a tribute to Shoot 'em up games featuring a lot of classic playable ships like Gradius', Galaga's, Raiden Fighters', etc., by JudgeSpear) -Super Castlevania 3 (a CV3 remake with better graphics and more abilities for the playable characters and enemies, made by Obreck) -Super Mario Fusion (a game similar to MKF but more Mario-ish with less crossover content, by JudgeSpear and the SMF devs) RE: Mega Man: Day in the Limelight, Finished fan game - Makermatic21 - 09-03-2010 Sounds cool. I will have to check out those titles as well. RE: Mega Man: Day in the Limelight, Finished fan game - Gors - 09-03-2010 thanks for bumping this thread |
