"Don't tell me what I can't do Jack." - Lemon - 04-15-2010 Hey, just decided to de-rustify myself and realized I've totally forgot everything I ever knew about anything. Took me forever to create a half pleasing outline of Mr John Locke, but now I have no idea where to go with the shading. I can't choose a nice palette, and I just wondered if anyone could help me with tips on how I should go about shading him. RE: "Don't tell me what I can't do Jack." - Lemon - 04-16-2010 ooooh I love Desmond me. Does anyone have any good tutorials on shading? RE: "Don't tell me what I can't do Jack." - x0_000 - 04-19-2010 Your skin palette is a bit redundant and low on contrast. You should go for a darker "darkest shade"/ brighter "brightest" shade to increase the range. Can't help you as much for shading though, I'm bad at explaining this kind of stuff RE: "Don't tell me what I can't do Jack." - Cobalt Blue - 04-19-2010 you're taking the colors right from the reference image. thats not going to work. |
