My custom stallord - Lakilouie - 04-22-2010 Well I am new here as of this thread being posted. I just want peoples opinion on this custom Zelda boss before I upload it in the zelda custom edited section. Note: read the little message on the sheet and for those who are too lazy, I was not the best on the horns if you make your stallord from the parts just try to lower the horns on it. RE: My custom stallord - Locked Achievement - 04-23-2010 Nice work! That red and black thing could be touched up a bit, his limbs may need more poses, and you need to use an image hosting website to upload stuff, but nice work otherwise! RE: My custom stallord - Ultimecia - 04-23-2010 For submissions session you don't need to worry about image hosting sites, you can just attach it to the message. But outside this one, it's sort of shun down. You can use this to learn about using the img tags, hosts and all this stuff Anyway, it could use some shading and more poses, but it's OK. You also might want to try to get some more critiques and comments to improve it here before submitting. It's sort of an unofficial quality control RE: My custom stallord - Mallacxo - 04-23-2010 Looks awesome. RE: My custom stallord - Lexou Duck - 04-23-2010 Just needs a little more shading and may I just notice that his skull looks more like a human's than it does an animal. EDIT : I arranged the head. Is this ok with you ? RE: My custom stallord - GrooveMan.exe - 04-23-2010 The head isn't bad, but thise hands could do with some improvement for sure. Everything looks very flat. To Sprite Discussion with ye. RE: My custom stallord - DioShiba - 04-23-2010 agreeing with groove on this one his torso (the body) and hands could be improved on, it just seems to look too stiff and un-lively RE: My custom stallord - nicktheslayer - 04-23-2010 (04-23-2010, 10:31 AM)Ditto Wrote: agreeing with groove on this one Un-lively? He IS dead, you know, lol. Anyways, i think it was okay, but also like for the ribs, make them symmetrical, it bothers me a lot that they arent, It seems very rushed, take your time, try to make it match the style of Lexou's head. Everything looks pretty stiff and the anatomy is pretty screwed up aside from the head. could take a deeper look at skeletons for reference. RE: My custom stallord - Lakilouie - 04-23-2010 Thanks for showing me how i should improve the sprite. Big thanks to Lexou for improving the head and horns I just love it. When I finish the sprite I'll give credit for that part. I'll add more poses and maybe different head angles. RE: My custom stallord - Cobalt Blue - 04-23-2010 the more i look at it, the less it looks like the reference. the complete lack of depth and volumen that the random and useless shading it has now serves no purpose. also the whole surface of the bones is covered with all sorts of textures that you have to port to your sprite to give it any sort of organic look, otherwise it looks as if it was made of a random bunch of cutout paper shapes. this is miles away from submission quality. |
