Using Sprites in Projects? - basire - 06-03-2010 I was looking around for good free 2d sprites and was pointed to here. I am looking for free 2d sprites as I am going to be starting a 2d game project and instead of trying to get an artist and have them build sprites as I build the game, I figure it would be easier to build the game first using free sprites and once the game functionality is mostly complete, then search for an artist to create custom sprites for the final game (not to mention is will be easy to find an artist with a functional game). I noticed this site had a bunch of sprites from games and one of the zelda games has the ideal look/feel I was looking for. Now I have no problem giving credit to the posters when I release videos/screenshots however would I have any issues with nintendo in using the zelda sprites I find from here? Just to make it clear, I would not be using these sprite for the final version of my game, just during development. RE: Using Sprites in Projects? - Sol - 06-03-2010 There wouldn't be any problems. People make fangames all the time with sprites from this site. |
