FF7 NES Pirate - Azragon - 06-11-2010 Hello, I decided to play around with the FF7 NES pirate version for a bit, with high hopes soon leading to disappointment. Is it just me, or is everything in it a stolen/clone sprite of some kind? The entire game is nothing but a FF3 NES clone (since it uses practically all FF3 monsters and map tiles). Should this even count as a published game for the site? It's just awful IMO. I could draw a better remake than that thing, and it almost tempts me to (though a waste of time). I mean look at what I am ripping from the game: FF7 NES style would have been awesome, but doesn't this just scream "disgrace"? If anybody sees something in what I just ripped from another game or a clone of something, please point it out since I'm very curious and have high doubts of it being anything but a edit or a clone. Barrett, Biggs, Jessie and Wedge? They look like crap. Practically everything is in the same place, except what has been altered. According to the game, yes they are. Agreed, they look like garbage. I have a feeling though that they're made from some other game though...just horrendously butchered of an edit. RE: FF7 NES Pirate - Cobalt Blue - 06-11-2010 pirated rom hack of a game. if that doesnt scream "hey look im just here to scam your parents into buying me" then i dont know what should. RE: FF7 NES Pirate - Ultimecia - 06-12-2010 No, it's not really a rom hack, I got it right here too Actually a Chinese company did a demake in actual cartridge, with their own coding and such. The script is like a super-condensed version of FF7 story up until the final battle against Sephiroth. You can read about it here |
