Translated GameAssassin (DirectX and OpenGL Print Screen Ripper) - Zerox - 08-31-2010 Okay I made a thread asking people if they could help me use GameAssassin. But it seems that no one was able to figure it out. A large factor of that being that the program is primarily Chinese with an unperfect and not entirely translated to English option. There also was the issue that the help file was all Chinese without any English. So I took it upon myself to translate the help file on my own and I'll admit it's not the best translation but it at least is one at all. But when I was near finishing I decided to take a whack at the actual program's exe file and I found I could translate that fairly easily as well. So I've touched up a bit on the English of the program itself and I translated a few parts that previously were only in Chinese. I am certain that as far as the actual program goes I probably missed pieces of Chinese that appear even after choosing the English language. So if there is any bit that you find and still want translated let me know. This ripper is capable of ripping DirectX and OpenGL and supposedly bones and animations too. I'm still learning how to use it myself but with luck we'll conquer this together and even easier now. So without further ado here's the official download link for my version of GameAssassin with additional translating as well as a translated help file: http://www.mediafire.com/file/x1fgvd99lsoa5d6/GameAssassinENG.zip Also as I would like to be able to translate parts that I missed I'd appreciate it if rather than posting this again elsewhere that you instead link to my thread here so I can help out with translating bits I've missed. If you find anything I missed please just tell me where it's located or give me a screenshot (screenshot is preferred). By the end of September I hope to have this entirely translated and fully functional for everyone's ease of use. I really recommend using my version of GameAssassin with the Help File but you may do as you please. I am considering making an updated Help File with screenshots as well that are in English but I will need to learn the program better so I can access all these screens. If you have any idea how to use this to rip now please post it in my other thread here: http://www.spriters-resource.com/community/showthread.php?tid=14811 Edit: Well upon an actual test run of Game Assassin I found there's tons that I could still translate. It was hard to tell what bits of data in the program were for the Chinese language option and which weren't. I think what I'll do is just go through everything and translate both so they're only is English despite what language you have set. RE: Translated GameAssassin (DirectX and OpenGL Print Screen Ripper) - Shadowth117 - 09-01-2010 That's awesome dude! Yeah I'll definitely try this out later and try to help figure out how to work it. If I find any obvious parts you missed in translating I'll make sure to point it out later too. But yeah if this works well enough it could completely change things considering its supposed to capture bones and animations. Kind of off topic, but do you or anyone else know of a good format to store lots of animations? Right now I don't really have an idea for one. RE: Translated GameAssassin (DirectX and OpenGL Print Screen Ripper) - Zerox - 09-01-2010 Well MS3D keeps animations easily enough that are portable to other formats easily but it's a program specific format. Yeah that's just it. Max has something like that that I think Autodesk programs share, but I've yet to see an animation format that's not specific to any program. |
