SD Kidou Senshi Gundam - V Sakusen Shidou - Orion X - 11-25-2010

I finally buckled down, and finished ripping all the characters from this game.

The large sprites of the Zaku and Gundam (not including the one with the sword and shield) were in Mode 7. I didn't really know how to effectively rip it, but I figured at least having would give a good idea of what it looks like.

Finally, (hope this isn't too presumptuous) here's a section icon for the game, since I don't think it's in TSR to begin with.

You can do it with vSNES 2.91, but you need a zsnes savestate to manage it.

vSNES has no problems with ripple effects, mode 7 and screentone, try it out.

Quick tutorial:

1) open the zsnes savestate:

2) select the scene viewer:

3) now you can switch between every single layer and all sprites (you can even enable/disable different sprite fore-/backgrounds like the mentioned arm from your MAM-07 Grabro rip):

I fixed Grabro, as well as the Gundam and Zaku Mode 7 sprites. Everything should be in order now.

very nice, as far as I can see everything except one sheet is perfect. Maybe vSNES would allow it to separate the flames from the MA-08 Big Zam, I'm sure they are just overlayer sprites.

This brings back some nostalgia for me. When I was a bit younger I ripped some sprites from this game and loved it. Dunno what ever happened to them, but it's nice to see somebody's ripping them from the game again. Looking good.
