I'm having a little trouble... - UltimateZeldaFan - 08-01-2008

I know I can't submit original characters/characters modeled after myself, but am I at least allowed to post them here for opinions/advice? If not then..Uhh..Check this out?

Well, anyway, I only asked because I didn't want to post it without knowing for sure. I'm a little new here, and I don't want to do anything wrong on my first post. Once I get confirmation on whether I can do it or not, I'll post what I need advice on.

First of all, welcome to tSR's community.

Yeah, sprite discussion is for posting any sprites.

As for the actual sprite (of which there should be more poses before showing here), it is a good megaman x edit for your first try. If you've been spriting for a while, there are some areas in which it could be improved.

Hehe, actually it's a Mega Man Zero edit. It was something I did really quick when I was bored one day. Anyway, what I wanted to ask (now that I know it's okay) is which left arm looks better? One or two? And if not either, any advice on making a new one?

Typo. Tongue

Both arms have their positives and negatives, though I would choose arm 1. Also, the shirt being a straight line makes the sprite looks off.

Hmmm...Well, I've tried making it not a straight line and it really doesn't look that good. Especially since it screws up the arm when I do so. And I know having a black outline causes a little of a problem, too. But I've tried a color outline and it just looks too soft. The black outline gives it a crisper, more...er..solid feeling. Anyway, I guess I'll take arm 1 and modify it a little.

You can have a black-ish outline, but never use actual black. Just use something like 32,32,32.
