Tell Me: About RSS Feeds - GrooveMan.exe - 03-14-2011

So I'm pretty interested about keeping up to date on a shitload of different tech/news/interest sites; and it seems the most efficient method is by RSS.

In previous years, I've been using the RSS Ticker addon for Firefox to do this, but the most recent version conflicts with Flash (which, I've been told, is a fault of Flash, not the Addon) to cause slowdown. It also seems to behave oddly with some Feeds, particularly Kotaku's.

Does anyone use an RSS Feed application that they'd reccomend? What sites do you follow via RSS? Any useful information will be added to the OP.

I use the Firefox extension called Brief to keep track of my favorite feeds. It comes with a database to save items in so that I can keep up with feeds at my own pace without worrying about missing items.

EDIT - Here's a screen of my current Brief setup (any graphical errors shown are a result of theme conflicts -- I'm using LavaFox Blue as my Firefox theme here). You can customize Brief to your liking if you have the know how.

Hm, I see!

I was actually shown Google Reader earlier today, and I'm actually pretty happy with it - it has all the blogs I follow from Blogspot pre-added to the feed listing, so I actually had a ton of content straight away.

It's less awesome than having the feed in-browser, but I suppose having an addon produced unnecessary bulk. =c
