I couldn't help but notice, - Avernus - 04-18-2011 There weren't any main characters in the Odin Sphere section. Very good quality sprites. I was curious, is anybody currently working on those at this time? They've got a very unique style to them in my opinion. RE: I couldn't help but notice, - Alpha Six - 04-18-2011 Does anybody even know how to rip Odin Sphere? RE: I couldn't help but notice, - Dazz - 04-19-2011 I ripped Odin Sphere. And no, I'm not working on them because they are crazy complicated to sheet up. RE: I couldn't help but notice, - Kosheh - 04-19-2011 Actually, wouldn't Odin Sphere fit under Textures Resource? I assume what Dazz means is that in their files, characters are displayed on a sheet as a series of joints and body parts that have to be constructed and are done so in an incredibly intricate manner making use of things like sprite rotation techniques (to allow more than x colors per sprite). King Esmond is a good example of this - he's a pretty minor character and even he seems like a pain in the ass to put together! His eyebrows and moustache is a separate sprite in itself! (and recycled for eyebrows and moustache; oh man just noticed that lol) I'd say putting the sprites is almost like; something you'd want to do in Flash rather than make sprite comics out of it. :I RE: I couldn't help but notice, - Dazz - 04-20-2011 That and many characters have so many tiny parts with no real indication of what they are. Like separated toes, knees, each segment of a finger, etc. |
