Dissidia Models (Rigging included) - Crett - 06-01-2011 So I recently got CFW on my PSP. Unfortunately, I couldn't play Duodecim on it because I have a PSP 3000 and the 3000 doesn't have CFW that supports blah blah blah. Anyway, I was able to dump my iso, and after looking around online, I figured out how to rip characters, objects, and even stages from the game. These are all the ones I've converted so far. :0 (The Kain in my avatar was ripped by someone else. It might have been Zerox.) Unfortunately, I was only able to provide the stages in .smd format because they create themselves with parts using their skeleton and wouldn't look right in .obj. Which reminds me, I'm going to be posting the world maps, too. Just saying. The UVs are upside down for the rips, by the way. Just mirror the Y axis and they should work. Tell me if I missed anything. Oh yeah. It exported some format called .rda, so I included it even though I don't know what it is. EDIT: Unfortunately, Chaos and Golbez weren't ripped quite right and they're doing standing poses. Excuse that for now. I'll fix it eventually. http://www.mediafire.com/?795tabtq1ngsbyc No issues beyond being pre-posed. I will see if I can fix him. http://www.mediafire.com/?1y98oi2kwefvfne http://www.mediafire.com/?7cw2tjcsslanqf2 Oh yeah. Jecht has two swords for some reason. Double the manliness, I suppose. http://www.mediafire.com/?g53tf42f45y6quo http://www.mediafire.com/?hgg25pl2ugbxart Slight UV issues, Pre-posed. I will be taking him down to replace with a better version later. http://www.mediafire.com/?7qe5w2tyrtav4lc Pre-posed.Material names are approximate. Its just that most people aren't going to think to check your submission thread for that stuff after downloading the models from the site. As for .rda, I believe its an animation format used by the engine that the creator of Mesh2RDM made. Its not really useful for our purposes unless you can get it into a more useable format so I'd just leave those out. Onto the stages, you should be able to export those to .obj from most programs after importing them from the .smd and then convert them to .obj from there to retain their positions. .mtl files to go with the .obj's would be awesome as well, especially for the stages, but I don't require them. Also, Jecht is missing an .obj file. Nice stuff though otherwise. The Final Fantasy games are well known for being pretty and this one doesn't dissapoint. RE: Dissidia Models (Rigging included) - Crett - 06-01-2011 Thanks. I'll update them accordingly. But do you know how to keep them from being pre-posed? Also, I've really tried to export .mtl files, but nothing's come up so far. I'll try and look it up some more. I can put up .blend files with the images already assigned and packed in, but it'll increase the file size a little bit. It'll take a little while to update the files, so I'm bolding the important things to know until I update. But I have added readme files to the newer models. RE: Dissidia Models (Rigging included) - Shadowth117 - 06-02-2011 For me, most programs I've used export .obj's in the position they're in in the scene regardless of there not being any bones. Maybe Blender doesn't do this? Its fine if you can't export .mtl files by the way and I wouldn't force you to make those manually, but adding in .blend's doesn't really seem necessary to me. Oh and make sure you note which rips you've added when you add them to your post, maybe make a post just saying what you've ripped. You won't get in trouble for double posting in your submissions thread. RE: Dissidia Models (Rigging included) - Crett - 06-02-2011 Blender does export obj files like that, I just meant I don't know how to t-pose them. I'm sure it has to do with posing them with xyz values or something and I don't know too much about that.. I have a lot to look into.. ;3: RE: Dissidia Models (Rigging included) - Shadowth117 - 06-02-2011 Oh okay. Well the thing is, not all models have a T look to their bind pose. Some of them will simply look like they're standing as you mentioned earlier while others, like FF7 models which are posed from their battle stance, have very odd poses one reason or another. You don't really need to repose them into anther position if their standing pose is their bind pose anyway though. RE: Dissidia Models (Rigging included) - valforwing - 06-02-2011 thanks for the rips! i've been waiting for new stages for a while, can't wait to see Phantom Train RE: Dissidia Models (Rigging included) - Crett - 06-02-2011 Phantom Train really is made weirdly, But I'll get on that right now. RE: Dissidia Models (Rigging included) - valforwing - 06-02-2011 yay can't wait to see it, can't wait to convert it, can't wait to animate with it! RE: Dissidia Models (Rigging included) - Crett - 06-03-2011 Sorry, Phantom train seems to require some major putting together or something and I can't quite figure it out. I can send it to anyone who wants to try. Consolation prizes: Chaos Shrine Emperor Firion Tifa (Wait, why did I rip this model, I should've ripped something else, heck, this was already ripped. I'm stupid) RE: Dissidia Models (Rigging included) - valforwing - 06-03-2011 aww when i tried converting the models they all got messed up... oh well....your doing good anyway...could be that my blender is kaput i think 've figures out the problem without the .mtl file they don't export as x.files......or atleast the kind that PMD/PME/MMD could read. RE: Dissidia Models (Rigging included) - Crett - 06-03-2011 You use Miku-Miku Dance? There's a PMD plugin for blender. Blender really is a better alternative for 3D animation as far as I can see. But you probably like MMD's interface better, huh. (Because I do. :0) RE: Dissidia Models (Rigging included) - valforwing - 06-03-2011 the problem i have with blender is that i can't read the fonts very well and the buttons are super tiny and i'm not really aiming for PMD exactly, such as the stages and things have less lag as x.files then PMDs, but x.files are subject to problems concerning the lighting of MMD. i recently found a lot of Tron Evolution models, bioshock 2 models, and Mortal Kombat Vs DC models....unfortunatlyu i did'nt rip them so i can't upload them. well can't wait to see what else u rip RE: Dissidia Models (Rigging included) - Crett - 06-05-2011 More new models. I got 3 new characters up and 2 new stages. I plan to rip basically every character and stage from the game, (It's pretty easy, GitMO is godly) and.. yeah. ;0 http://www.mediafire.com/?hr51xruqm538y6v http://www.mediafire.com/?i12272u4o6z1u3r ͠͠͠ ͠ _̀ ҉ ͠͠ ͠ ͠ ͠ ͠ ͠ _ F̧҉ ̀E͠҉̀ȨL҉ ҉҉ ҉̀͠ TḨ҉Ȩ̧̧̧̧̧̧̧̧̧͠ ҉̀҉ V҉҉ ҉O͠҉I̧̧҉҉ D҉҉ ͠͠ ͠͠͠͠͠͠͠͠͠͠ ͠҉҉ ҉ ҉ ҉҉ ҉҉҉҉ ҉҉҉ ͠͠͠ ͠ ͠ ͠ ͠ ͠ ҉҉҉҉҉҉҉҉҉҉҉҉҉҉҉҉҉҉҉҉҉ ҉ ͠ ͠ ͠ http://www.mediafire.com/?jug82s4c6t4kecp http://www.mediafire.com/?pz61uzwbrbdooie http://www.mediafire.com/?40yw23gac0uiz36 RE: Dissidia Models (Rigging included) - Guy - 06-05-2011 Awesome, Zidane has always been one of my favorite characters, i'm glad to see these, I remember trying to find models for Dissidia a while back...but no one was willing to post em. |
