another metroid fangame XP - Kenjitake - 08-15-2008 this has now been edited, btw... I made this like 2 years ago =P so far the name of this metroid fangame is M5F (metroid 5 fangame) using game maker 7.0 pro, I have been working on this for a while, but now I come to the obstacles. now, as you know all metroid games have different music, different enemies, different bosses, different everything. there are a lot of still unfinished stuff that I might need help on, such as a fusion style maridia bg or sand falling from the ceiling. here is a list of things that I will need help on, just PM me if you would like to do any of them. *enemies tangle weed / venom weed- tangle weed just slows down samus, till she shoots her blaster, venom weed damages but same effect happens when samus shoots. gleels- a glowing eel like enemy that will come at samus and attach to her and drain her energy. skreecicles- icicles that open up to reveal a skree that attacks only when samus runs under it. there are some more but I am too lazy to add them =P *bosses ridley- needs to look like the ZM style, but with a mix of fusion in it. geomba- a fast moving, lizard like boss, has to fit through door, but it is not speed booster fast, has no back legs, has to hang from ceiling with one arm and head has to go in multiple angles, has little "fins" on back. alpha metroid/ gamma metroid- just like in metroid 2 *sighs* good times. ???- something I won't mention. if you are good at making custom characters that act like samus PM me about it. Ak-hi- not much has been though out, it's a boss that can warp in between dimensions along with parts of it that aren't attached. samus can go into this dimension when a part of it goes along with it. (I don't know what to do for attacks yet.) unnamed- I have added the boss to the bottom of this post, all updated bosses will go to bottom of this post. is like an octopus boss attached to the ceiling that has no eyes but a mouth that puffs out icy breath to freeze itself so it has a bit of shielding, can pick samus up and freeze her. shoots "judicator" out of its tentacles. ancient alpha metalroid- like it says, It's old, its rusty, and its bouncy, like robot ridley from ZM. space pirate leader- just some random space pirate that acts about as tough as the black ones from MZM and has some of samus's stolen abilities (explained in game) he's more of a sub-boss though that doesn't die because he always run when he's low on health. there are also items, but those can wait till later. here are some old mockups I made a while ago, the planets have changed a little bit now: RE: another metroid fangame XP - Chdonga - 08-16-2008 What software are you gonna use for the game? I thought I got rid of this topic a while ago... @GoBologna: the engine... well I am still tweaking somethings here and there, but overall it's just fine, collision, movement (though the speed is a little off), just the general stuff for samus. @ZeldaClassicEXPERT: it's now gamemaker 7 pro. @miles07& Chris2Balls: octohunter just disappeared, and hopefully this doesn't sound odd, but my sprites run on inspiration, with his disappearance there isn't inspiration left... that goes for my assistance spriters it seems too. as for the rest who read this... this was made a long time ago, the game story and enemies and most stuff has now been completely remade so the game is much more exciting and fun. I'll make a new list off the old stuff because some things have changed. |
