david on the beach - GaryASPG - 11-06-2011 just chillin RE: david on the beach - Cobalt Blue - 11-06-2011 those are some odd shaped muscles you got there. the abs are particulary evident along with the left feet. there is such an strange vibe as to how the whole shape of his body looks that i cant find the harmony this particular sculpture is suposed to have. RE: david on the beach - megaMasquerain - 11-09-2011 I'm really loving the stone texture, and though I agree with Metaru that a lot of the muscles look oddly shaped or proportioned I won't even try to explain because anatomy isn't my strong suit. At all. In any case, our right foot is... really weird looking. Is he supposed to be standing on his toes? If so I think the back of the foot is off. If not... then I'm not sure what he's supposed to be doing. Where the head is casting a shadow on his torso on our right side, the square highlights on the muscles are kind of odd looking. I'd either make them smaller, rounder *especially towards our left side), or throw them out altogether. i think this is coming along pretty well, and most of the anatomy issues seem to be in the definition of the muscles rather than just the general silhouette, so I'm looking forward to a final version |
