How can I extract PS3 files? - Reko - 01-08-2012 I tried but it seems I don't have the enough or any hacking abilities... I downloaded the game and I found some .pkg archives, the ones necessary to install the game and the hack, so when I tried to extract something from them the program showed me error, of course. I was wondering then, if there is another way to extract the game data and the graphic files with it. I suppose extracting the PS3 files is the same way as extracting PS2 ones, but I don't know and I hope someone can solve my doubt. Oh, and another question... I don't have a PS3. It might be a problem If I want to hack one of its games? PS: By the way, the game I want to rip the sprites from is "Scott Pilgrim VS The World", if someone wants to help me in this task, is very welcome! RE: How can I extract PS3 files? - John2k4 - 01-08-2012 You should be able to open files of that type by running them through PKGView. I re-uploaded the archive since it seems to be very elusive. RE: How can I extract PS3 files? - Reko - 01-08-2012 Thank you but I didn't ask for that program, I didn't ask for a way to decompress .pkg files; I asked for a way to extract the elusive game data where the more elusive graphic files are estored. But if you think that program may help me, then... In which archive I have to use it? In the Install.pkg one, perhaps? RE: How can I extract PS3 files? - John2k4 - 01-08-2012 Well it sounds like what you downloaded is a lot of .PKG files, so I provided you with a program that will allow you to view the contents of them. Depending on how SP stores its graphics files, you might be able to find them right off the bat with that program. RE: How can I extract PS3 files? - Reko - 01-09-2012 Uff, sometimes I hate my English... I think I didn't explain correctly, let me start again: (1º)-I downloaded the game. It was a .rar archive, so I opened it. (2º)-Inside the .rar archive where three .pkg files (Install.pkg, Patch.pkg and Crack.pkg). (3º)-I tried to extract something from them with a program to decompress .pkg files, but it was no use. Those files are executables, not compressed archives so it's impossible to decompress them. I didn't downloaded a lot of .pkg, it's just that I don't know what to do with the ones I have... And I hope there is another way to get the graphic files without needing a PS3 because, well, those .pkg are only useful to install the game. |
