SEGA EMULATERS - guyverunit05 - 01-27-2012 HELLO AGEN, OK I am working on some SNES riping but need some SEGA emulaters that are good and have a recorder and screenshot options. Anybody out there got a name of a good SEGA emulater and GAME GEAR emulater? Thanks guyverunit05 RE: SEGA EMULATERS - John2k4 - 01-27-2012 You are working on SNES ripping, but need a SEGA emulator... -- Anyways, for Game Gear, I would recommend Kega Fusion. As for the SEGA emulator...what system do you mean? Sega CD, Master, Dreamcast, Megadrive, NAOMI, Saturn... Sega Genesis, and yes im riping SNES but later ill be doing SEGA games for the Genesis and Game Gear. RE: SEGA EMULATERS - John2k4 - 01-29-2012 Okay. Genesis-wise, I've used Gens for a while now, and can recommend it. RE: SEGA EMULATERS - Garamonde - 01-29-2012 Yeah, there's also one called GensKMod that Dazz modified to have a magenta background. RE: SEGA EMULATERS - Belial - 01-29-2012 Which is like God's gift to genesis rippers. I used to use Megasis, but there are some games it just won't run. Ever since I tried GensKmod I never looked back. RE: SEGA EMULATERS - guyverunit05 - 01-30-2012 Thanks for all the help for finding a GEN emulator but I need a better game gear emulator. the fusion is confusing and Im not shure on how to save pics clearly. the only one I know is bitmap and I know that is not good cuse it distorts the pic. Any ideas? Thanks guyverunit05 p.s. my spelling sucks i know. RE: SEGA EMULATERS - John2k4 - 01-30-2012 I don't think Bitmap distorts them...it just results in large filesizes. Hey, would it be possible to add that functionality to Gens/GS? If so, then it'd be great, since (as I recently discovered) Gens/GS gives true palettes, like Gens. By the way, I just use ALT+PrtScn for my screenshots. Then I paste them directly into GIMP (Paint or Photoshop would probably work too) and save them as PNG. You may paste a bitmap, but you won't save one RE: SEGA EMULATERS - Garamonde - 01-31-2012 I'm not sure... I'll have to bring it up with Dazz. RE: SEGA EMULATERS - Dazz - 02-03-2012 It took me a long time to learn how to add that function to Gens, to be honest... I'm not so sure how easily I could add it to another emulator, since I've pretty much forgotten everything I did to modify Gens. It's been about 3 years since I've even touched real coding. Sorry RE: SEGA EMULATERS - Yawackhary - 02-03-2012 The best Game Gear emulator to use is MEKA since that has a tile viewer, a background viewer, a background/sprite remover and can output screenshots by pressing Alt-Print Screen. MEKA also rips from Master System games as well since they are very close in terms of hardware. |
