Nintendo Network and More! - Koopaul - 01-27-2012 Because you were all too busy with your heads up Mega Man's ass y'all missed an important announcements from Nintendo! Nintendo Network will improve greatly upon the crappy online gaming we've been offered by them in the past. http://gonintendo.com/?mode=viewstory&id=170837 On top of this news Nintendo also made other statements like: -Wii U Controller having card/figurine interactions -digital content will see a dramatic improvement -new sidescrolling Mario game for 3DS -new alliances, previously not considered, will be announced this year -much much more! http://gonintendo.com/?mode=viewstory&id=170831 RE: Nintendo Network and More! - DioShiba - 01-27-2012 Quote:if those that are Super Mario fans get tired of the content they have, Nintendo could look into digital content to drive extra salesWell there's a big fuck you to free DLC right there. RE: Nintendo Network and More! - Koopaul - 01-27-2012 Eh it was gonna happen eventually... RE: Nintendo Network and More! - Kriven - 01-27-2012 Card and figure readability built into the controller? Does Activision have their hands in Nintendo's pants? RE: Nintendo Network and More! - Sengir - 01-27-2012 Does this mean that Pokemon's future Gen VI can be upgraded with Gen VII Pokemon? Though I'd rather see Generations disappear and have frequent updates with new places and Pokemon if it was possible. RE: Nintendo Network and More! - Azure-Tranquility - 01-29-2012 Ugh. Let's see how Nintendo handles DLC... I hope they don't do it the wrong way. That is to say, don't withhold content from the main game to sell as DLC later. I want a complete game ffs. RE: Nintendo Network and More! - Koopaul - 01-29-2012 They've already had some DLC in game like Animal Crossing City Folk. It just looks like they are taking things a step further. RE: Nintendo Network and More! - Keychain - 01-30-2012 Can't wait for the 15 dollar character packs for Super Smash Brothers 4. RE: Nintendo Network and More! - soulcaliburfan - 01-30-2012 Already confirmed that Fire Emblem 3ds is having paid DLC, so I really wouldn't find it too much of a stretch for other games. RE: Nintendo Network and More! - Keychain - 01-30-2012 Eh, I'd do it. If companies like Activision and Capcom successfully sell DLC's, Nintendo could do it and probably be 10x more successful in the process. Every company is a company before a community's best friend, and that means money is what counts. RE: Nintendo Network and More! - Gwen - 01-30-2012 Exactly, there's no point in really griping if Nintendo makes DLC paid for since pretty much EVERY other company already does. RE: Nintendo Network and More! - Chaoxys - 01-30-2012 Not to mention, with a lot of the high ups in Nintendo, I can't see them cutting content out and holding it as DLC. For example, someone like Miyamoto, I really couldn't see him saying "Let's chop off half the game and force them to pay for it separately!". With him anyways, he'd easily be able to come up with additional content thats worth paying for on his own without the need of cutting the main game short. RE: Nintendo Network and More! - Azure-Tranquility - 01-30-2012 Like I said, it'd be fine and dandy if Nintendo was one of the few companies to do DLC "right". If they continue to make games as good as they have been for almost(over?) 30 years, then there shouldn't be a problem. Let's pray they also don't do online passes, or god forbid, charge for online play. :/ And holy crap EA is so evil, look at this BS/ |
