The Debug Code and You - SmithyGCN - 08-26-2008 DEBUG CODES What are they? They are simply put, the codes to unlocking a debug/mode/room/etc. in a game. Some games have more than one. What is a debug room/mode/etc. and what do they do for us? A debug mode/room is an area normally inaccessible to the players that the programmers and designers used as a means of testing out certain parts and animations of the game. A debug mode/room can hold many wonders for a ripper as it contains nearly everything in the game plus some unused things maybe. Each thing viewed makes ripping a lot easier and can make a game that would normally take months to fully rip easily fully ripped in as little as a few days. Here I will share the ones I have found (and give credit to the people who found them). You are more than welcome to share ones you have found or cracked to add to this list. I got inspired to make this topic a while back when I found a great debug code for Breath of Fire 2 and when Ton uncovered one for SMRPG. I'd love to rip these games myself using these codes, but I have been rather busy as of late and am leaving it to anyone willing to take it upon themselves to rip their favorite game. Disable the code after you've used it, and save your game if you want. When using the 'Debug' option, you'll spend quite a while leveling up. Leave the room and enter again before talking to the person for other debug options. Each time you use the 'Debug' option, it sets your EXP to 90000(Level 34), adds 1 of all types of magic, adds 35 Magirocks, adds 1 of several types of armor, and adds 1 of several different weapons. It will only add up to 8 of each item, for reasons that almost assuredly relate to using the option too often during debugging and the game glitching for the programmers Credit to: Ugetab NINTENDO 64 Super Smash Bros. 800A4AD0 0004 Notes: Must be activated at game's start up. RE: The Debug Code and You - Linkin800 - 08-30-2008 Oh boy a thread about Debug stuff. Just my luck! I got one for Wario Land 4 but you have to use VBA's (Visual Boy Advance) memory viewer to do it. (and no their is no other way to do this I think) Wario Land 4 Debug Room (make sure you're on the world map on a level, Palm Tree Paradise is the best level for this) Type this in the address search 03000000 You should see this: 03000000: 00 00 01 00 00 00 01 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 Now change it so it looks like this: 03000000: 00 00 00 02 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 Now enter the stage and your their! It's alot easyer then it looks. RE: The Debug Code and You - SmithyGCN - 08-30-2008 Please tell me whom to give the credit to for creating this code before I add it unless it's you? In which case, I will credit you. |
