Earthbound inspired - athecondor - 03-30-2012 Hey this is my first post. I just started using a program called Promotion. I like to make little sprite caricatures of friends and such but found this site. I'm amazed at the talent! Anyway here's the latest thing I made I realize the horizon isn't comparatively even on the right in its slope but other than what do you think? I would like to try requests too. RE: Earthbound inspired - Gors - 03-30-2012 the resolution between the people and landscape isn't the same, and the moon's (sun?) shine isn't centered. Sorry I didn't think that changing the image would kill that link. Any way I agree with what you said. This is not completely relevant but I was curious: When you make an environment, what's the easiest way to change the coloring to make it look like the time of day is different? Do you just need to figure out the colors manually or what features of a program could help? RE: Earthbound inspired - Hoeloe - 04-01-2012 Figure out the colours manually. If you rely on a program to do it for you, the results are limited by the program, whereas if you do it yourself, you'll improve at choosing colours, and will be able to take all sorts of artistic liberties with it that a program won't be able to. |
