Solid Snake Sprite - Afr0Blu3 - 07-02-2012 Got a little bored so I made a sprite of Solid Snake, MGS2 version. Don't sprite very often so I was kind of surprised by the results. Might be fun to try and make some poses and expand on the original a bit. RE: Solid Snake Sprite - Chris2Balls [:B] - 07-02-2012 Is Snake lying down? RE: Solid Snake Sprite - Hoeloe - 07-02-2012 Looks pretty stiff, and the colours aren't wonderful (some very low contrast in the skintones, for example), plus it's very cluttered and hard to read. For a sprite that size, try not to put in all the detail you have. When working at low resolution, readability is key. That is, forsake details such that you can see what's going on better. Also he has a really tall head. RE: Solid Snake Sprite - DioShiba - 07-02-2012 So this is what MGS would look like if it was on the SNES... Still, you should probably make him less stiff as hoeloe said. Try looking at some of the old school metal gear sprites that are hanging around the site somewhere and use one of those poses to reference how he should look on a 2d plane.
