Bloop bloop - Chaoxys - 07-03-2012 I've been super unmotivated lately so I thought I'd try for something simple. RE: Bloop bloop - Helmo - 07-03-2012 looks incredibly thin RE: Bloop bloop - Chaoxys - 07-03-2012 They aren't very thick to begin with. RE: Bloop bloop - Star - 07-03-2012 Well, the new bloopers are pretty thin so he's got it right. I think the bottom of his tentacles should have some more shading going on. That way it gives more shape to them. Love that animation! RE: Bloop bloop - Chaoxys - 07-03-2012 The bottoms of the tentacles? I could try. I was trying to keep it simple to avoid any readability issues but I'll see if I can work with it. RE: Bloop bloop - Chaoxys - 07-04-2012 Was this what you meant? Also, I made a few changes to the sprite itself here and there, plus I changed up a few frames altogether. RE: Bloop bloop - Goemar - 07-05-2012 I actually prefer the original... RE: Bloop bloop - Chaoxys - 07-05-2012 In terms of the shading I added or the animation changes? Personally I like the animation changes. I'm indifferent on the shading. RE: Bloop bloop - Goemar - 07-05-2012 The animation changes are good, I meant the shading. The lack of tentacle shading gave it a nicer look than the shaded one in my own opinion. RE: Bloop bloop - Garamonde - 07-05-2012 I prefer the tentacle shading myself. RE: Bloop bloop - Ton - 07-05-2012 Gonna do the pink version from SMB1 for SNES? RE: Bloop bloop - Chaoxys - 07-05-2012 I forget, what did the pink version do? Wasn't it able to move in the air? I may instead make a Booper, a ghost Blooper. RE: Bloop bloop - Ton - 07-05-2012 It was out of water and had weird thorny things on it. http://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/supermariobros/sheet/6195 RE: Bloop bloop - Chaoxys - 07-05-2012 The original white blooper also had those "thorns". I believe they were actually meant to represent suction cups or something. Either way, I'll probably do a ghost version of a Blooper instead of the pink one since I can't think of any levels it would work in (since this is for Midas Machine). Went for a bed sheet ghost reference instead of basic tentacles. May change the head. I was trying to make the fin things look torn but it didn't come out right. |
