White for basic, Black for premium? They know people will buy a black console over a white one, so that's a clever business move on their part. RE: Wii U Details - Koopaul - 09-13-2012 Interesting. Two versions of the Wii U. We'll see how this plays out. RE: Wii U Details - Goemar - 09-13-2012 I dunno, I kinda prefer the white Wii... Anyway, what's the difference between the Wii U Pad and the Pro Pad (besides colour?) Face-palm moment there... RE: Wii U Details - Garamonde - 09-13-2012 White > black. RE: Wii U Details - soulcaliburfan - 09-13-2012 Since they have confirmed a premium/deluxe that comes with ZombiU instead of Nintendo Land, I will probably get that one instead. Considering that the games will be 60 dollars each, this is pretty much saving money one way or the other. RE: Wii U Details - Hoeloe - 09-13-2012 I don't think I have the money for this just yet, but it looks like an interesting console, provided it's used correctly. A lot of game developers tend to use new technologies in consoles because the console supports it, and not because it will add anything to the game. This tends to have a negative effect rather than a positive one (i.e. poorly thought-out controls). It happened with the Wii, and with Kinect, it'll probably happen with this, too. However, it has the potential for some really fun gameplay, provided it's not thrown in for the sake of it. RE: Wii U Details - redblueyellow - 09-13-2012 Welp, time to start saving up. It probably was already answered a long time ago, but are Wii and Gamecube games compatible with the WiiU? RE: Wii U Details - Garamonde - 09-13-2012 I won't be getting it. I have enough consoles and I'm happy with what I have. My cousin likely will eventually though. It probably was already answered a long time ago, but are Wii and Gamecube games compatible with the WiiU? Gamecubes are not. But Wii games are. Developers are also planning to use Wiimotes for WiiU games, so if Wii compatibility wasn't included, it'd be hilarious (though from there, wouldn't GCN compatibility also be relatively trivial, space for controller and memory card ports being essentially the only major limitations?). RE: Wii U Details - Kriven - 09-13-2012 GameCube virtual console. They don't want their old discs competing with their new wares. RE: Wii U Details - A.J. Nitro - 09-13-2012 So what are the 3rd party day 1 launch titles? RE: Wii U Details - Previous - 09-13-2012 Launch titles for Europe: FIFA 13 Mass Effect 3: Special Edition Nano Assault Hero New Super Mario Bros. U Nintendo Land Rayman Legends Trine 2: Director's Cut Toki Tori 2 ZombiU (Source). |
