App Files - Link101 - 09-30-2012

I have a lot of files from apps like Temple Run and Final Fantasy 3, but I don't know how to open their 3d models! I looked in the folder and most of the file types are:

Final Fantasy 3
.ncap.lz
.namp.lz
.ndmp.lz
.mcl.lz
.ntxp.lz
.fslc.lz
.xbn
.nib
.caf (I can open this one, it is all the music and things.)
.NCGR
.NSGR
.pak
.zsh
.fsh
.area
.bbd
.NCER
.NBGR
.hich
.efp
.script
.wbc
.lproj
.stgprf
.ntxp

Which one contains the 3d model, and how do I change its format?

Thanks!

.ncap.lz, .namp.lz, .ndmp.lz, .mcl.lz, .ntxp.lz, .fslc.lz: Try this (however those are most likely not the same .lz files).
.xbn: From what I've gathered online, this seems to be some sort of text file and you probably don't need to worry about it.
.nib: Appears to be some sort of format that stores iOS and Mac app interface files. You can try this extractor if you like but I'm pretty sure you don't need to worry about this file.
.NCGR (Nitro Character Graphic Resource): If it's the same NCGR file type, then it's openable with DS ripping tools like Tinke. It may not be though unless Final Fantasy 3 comes in a DS version and you are ripping from that.
.NSGR: Couldn't find anything, sorry.
.pak: I found this page via Google (scroll down just a bit and you'll see "File Type Video Game Package"), try one of those programs it has listed.
.zsh: Appears to be a shell script of some sort. Probably nothing of value.
.fsh: Is a format used in EA games it looks like. This page has more info on it and also links to a website that should have something that can open that file. I don't know if this file has anything of interest but you can give it a try.
.area: Couldn't really find anything for this either.
.bbd: Seems to be a common computer data file. This page explains more but this file may not have anything.
.NCER (Nitro CEll Resource): Another DS format. If this is the same type of .NCER, then it's only animation files and you shouldn't need to worry about them.
.NBGR (Nitro Basic Graphic Resource): Just like with .NCGR, if this is the same type of .NBGR, this is openable with Tinke and should contain graphics.
.hich: Can't find anything on this.
.efp: Appears to be nothing of use.
.script: Just a script file, appears to be useless.
.wbc: A "webshots collection file", may not be of much use.
.lproj: Some kind of folder that only Macs can open. Highly doubt it's of any use.
.stgprf: Couldn't find anything besides results on .stg and .prf formats which are different.
.ntxp: Couldn't find anything except .nxp format.

Hope some of that helps!

Thanks! Sadly, I don't have a Windows operating system anymore. Is there any program that opens .lz files for Mac? If you want to see them, seeing as I couldn't list them all, I will PM you the files.

Also, I am using Final Fantasy III mobile, but it is for the DS.

I don't know of one, sorry. Sad
I can try to decompress them if you like though just in case. But first, since it's a DS game, you're in luck. Try opening the game ROM in Tinke like I linked to, and following this ripping guide (the part you're looking for is under Sprites > Straight-from-the-game Ripping > Tinke). You should be able to find something then. If you have trouble I can try to help or will look into it myself (although I may not be able to assemble any sheets since I don't really know the series).
Good luck!

You could either emulate, bootcamp, or ask someone else that has windows to use these programs.
