Somewhat 8 Bit Haunted House WIP - Cemetery Hill - 11-27-2012 Done in a somewhat similar style to Scott Pilgrim vs The World. You guys should get some resources from that. That'd be radical. But yeah. This is a house I'm doing in a pixel art style, with a bit of non traditional pixel art approaches. As you can see, totally bare, and totally huge. I'm working on furniture and other decor. Ultimately, someone has decorated a haunted house with Christmas decorations. That's what I'm going for. Just here to see what everyone thinks of the layout/design, and also looking for some suggestions/ideas. RE: Somewhat 8 Bit Haunted House WIP - Previous - 11-27-2012 Moving to creativity before people jump at your throat. "8 bit" (it's not, and 8 bit is nothing, it's better to avoid the term), doodly lines, blurs and noise filters (those two are an absolute "no" when it comes to "pixel" art). I see not even the anti-aliasing on the black silhouette is hand-made (far to many colours for that to be the case). RE: Somewhat 8 Bit Haunted House WIP - Gors - 11-27-2012 Complementing what Previous said, what you probably meant by "8-bit" would be NES graphics, but actually in order to make something remotely close to it, you need to read about its graphic specs, palettes and resolution, or else it will be out of style (your case). Since this is not "8-bit" nor pixelart, it shall not be criticized as such, so I'll wait until you decorate it with more stuff. It might look interesting and somewhat 'retro' if pulled out right...
