Help With Ripping SFX From a PS2 Game - Flaming Lemons - 01-03-2013 so um... i need help with ripping the sound effects from a ps2 game called whiplash. the game uses a .rkv file that stores the game data, sfx, ect. i found a way to extract the games audio by using this method here. http://www.thelostworlds.net/HowTo/Extract_Soul_Reaver_2_and_Blood_Omen_2_Audio_PS2.html so after i opened the .ppl file with psound, i played some of the sounds. they seem to be in the correct pitch but they all sound laggy/choppy. here are some samples. http://www.mediafire.com/?dm46p0dxjd905vm is there any fast way i can fix the audio to where it sounds perfect? or a different method to get the sfx? RE: Help With Ripping SFX From a PS2 Game - puggsoy - 01-04-2013 OK so I'm essentially stabbing in the dark here, but try converting the .rkv file with VGSC. I realise that you said that it contains more than just sound data, so it might not work. The extension is listed in the vgmstream compatability list though, so it's worth a shot.
