I mean what free and also legal MIDI Maker would you prefer [recommend] to download to be able to make .mid, .midi etc. music files please? Thank you.

I only ever used Anvil Studio and that one seems to be ok.
You may want to consider FamiTracker instead though, it doesn't make Midi but you really should take a look at it!
