senjen's PS2 Resorce - senjen - 03-07-2013 Here is where i will put all my ps2 rips enjoy Here is the 1st one and the only one for now until Peardian see's if it is correct and Uploads it ![]() Futurama ![]() RE: senjen's PS2 Resorce - Ton - 03-08-2013 Awesome! I hope you do more from this! RE: senjen's PS2 Resorce - Peardian - 03-23-2013 At first glance, the model looks perfectly fine. I was about to accept it when I realized that one of his feet is significantly larger than the other one. To a lesser degree, so are his hands. As it turns out, DinnerSonic ran into the exact same problem when he tried ripping a PS2 game. What happens is that the scene is being distorted by perspective. I have a hunch that this is a problem that will affect a number of (if not all) attempts at ripping PS2 game models. It's most likely an issue with either the ripper or the import process, and not something you can do much to fix post-import. If you find a way to fix the issue, that would be awesome. If not, then it seems some PS2 games will still be out of our grasp. I haven't exactly read it yet, but but this thread may be a good place to read up or ask questions. RE: senjen's PS2 Resorce - o0DemonBoy0o - 03-23-2013 Yeah Most games seem to have that kind of distortion. ratchet and clank is pretty heavy with the distortion, while devil may cry is less so, with almost no distortion. unfortunately there is not much you can do about it. I usually spend a great deal of time fixing this before submitting it here. What I do is try and fix half of the model mirror it when it looks alright. RE: senjen's PS2 Resorce - senjen - 03-23-2013 Wait so it is only size issue with those few parts? Couldn't you just tell me what sizes to put those parts at i could fix them and manually put them into the correct spots. RE: senjen's PS2 Resorce - Peardian - 04-21-2013 It's not as simple as that, unfortunately. The whole entire scene is distorted based on the view you have. If a character had their arms outstretched, and you stood next to their left hand, it would look really big compared to the right one, because it's up close to your face, while the other one is far away. But with this problem, the left hand actually IS much bigger than the other one, as well as everything in between. Even the character's eyes would be slightly different. It's not something you can really fix without really specific tools.
