Metal Slug in HD? - Goemar - 09-18-2008 Quote:SNK Playmore has revealed that it is looking into giving the aging Metal Slug series an HD refit, potentially taking the shooting franchise down the same path as the forthcoming King of Fighters XII. Wow SNK actually making a good decision with Metal Slug for a change. Hopefully this will mean the new style of backgrounds will be no more! Now let us all pray the game doesn't suck. RE: Metal Slug in HD? - Comix - 09-19-2008 As long as they don't make it 3D. I hate to see franchises so great move away from sprite based gameplay. RE: Metal Slug in HD? - LeleleleMAXIMUM - 09-19-2008 Goodbye pixelart. RE: Metal Slug in HD? - Goemar - 09-19-2008 Hopefully this just means some nice new HD sprites - I don't think SNK will be making Metal Slug 3D again anytime soon after the last "incident." I mean King of the Fighters XII has some pretty awesome looking sprites. RE: Metal Slug in HD? - Alpha Six - 09-19-2008 (09-19-2008, 12:15 AM)Comix Wrote: As long as they don't make it 3D. The first 3D game, Maximum Impact, may have been bad, but 2006 (aka MI 2) ruled hard. It almost perfectly matched the old-school 2D gameplay while adding some new features. regardless, i am super into SNK, and i can't wait to see what they do with this. Although I have NEVER been good at Metal Slug RE: Metal Slug in HD? - Goemar - 09-22-2008 'Tis all about practice. |
