Hello everyone! - Vince5754 - 04-29-2013

Hey, everyone! For the past few days, I've been looking for a way to extract models from Monster Hunter Tri, To do some Animation work in 3DS Studio Max.

I came acrossed MJ's tutorial for Model Ripping, a fine tutorial. But when I attempted to get a Rathalos Model. In the end result of the .Dae file, It was what appeared to be one of its wings, untextured. And the skellition was gone entirely... Oops! Clearly I'm gonna have to read the tutorial again!... And again... And again. Elugh...

I can't understand half the stuff I'm reading. Angry The section of the Brres reader is as far as I know what I'm doing right. Once I get into Noesis that perk is -whoosh-! Right out the window Tongue

Anywho, I thought I'd see if I could get some help from the Experts. At least try not to be insulted by my noobiness O_o

It's nice to meet you, Vince5754. It's nice to see a new member ALREADY trying to rip stuff!Smile

I'm sure you'll get tons of help on the forums, just go to the Question, Info, and Tutorials section to ask questions. Welcome to the Resource, friend! Wink

oh hello! welcome to TSR, Vince! please read the forum rules and enjoy your stay here~
okay now that the usual greeting preface stuff is out of the way...
well first off, I have never played a Monster Hunter game, but I'll try to help you here.
so, can you explain what parts you don't understand (make sure to post in the guide's thread about your problem as to not derail this one)? it's possible I may have written it in a way that was a little difficult to grasp.
it'd also be helpful if you could take a screenshot of how the model looks in BRRES Viewer and one of how it looks in Noesis.
also, thanks for using my guide! I'll do what I can to help you get the models in working order for what I'm assuming/hoping will be future submissions. Big Grin

Thanks for the Welcome! and MJ, I'll try to explain what I'm having problems with as best as possible on that topic. Let me see if I can get those Screen Shots for you.

Hey Vince, welcome to the Resource! As BlueBlur said, it's nice to see someone so new already ripping stuff!

Unfortunately I can't help as I'm no model ripper, but hopefully with MJ's help you should get it solved. Good luck with it anyway, and with your future rips Big Grin
